Miss Earth Pageant Named 3rd Best Pageant of 2006

Only on its 6th year of staging a world class environment-friendly pageant, Manila-based Miss Earth is again named as 3rd best overall production 2006 (pageant of the year) after Miss World (1st)and Miss Universe (2nd) pageants by Global Beauties, a Beauty Pageant Authority on the net, on its 8th Annual Global Beauties Awards.

Miss Earth, produced by Carousel Productions, Inc. , also snatched third place in Best Group of Finalists/Semi-Finalists as well as winner of Best Evening Gown Competition and Best Stage Production Awards.

Its winner, Hil Hernandez of Chile is awarded 3rd place Best Face of the Year while her runner-up Ms. Venezuela Marianne Puglia is 5th Best Over-all Contestant and adjudged to have the Best Stage Presence among over 400 candidates in 2006.
