Mr. Malta was the 2nd placer next to Mr. Philippines during the Cocktail Challange at the ongoing Mr. World 2007 at Sanya, China.
But during the Individual Endurance Test as part of the Sports Challenge, he's finally the top winner followed by Dominican Republic and South Africa.
The three winners plus other top contenders of the Individual Test proceeded to the team trials, which include sea kayaking, coconut run and tug-of-war.
There were four groups of top contenders:
the Hawks: Australia, Costa Rica, Germany, Panama
the Tigers: Latvia, Lebanon, Malta, South Africa
the Cranes: Chile, Dominican Republic, Macedonia FYR, Singapore
the Dragons: Liberia, Nigeria, Spain, Ukraine
And the winning group was the Cranes.
