The United States of America (USA) dominates the 2008 New York Festivals for Television and Broadcasting Category with a total of two hundred two (202) finalists distributed to 55 TV broadcasters, which includes CNN, ESPN, HBO, Hallmark Channel, Discovery Networks and many more.
Canada comes 2nd with 57, followed by England with 33, then Germany with 24 finalists, two more than Spain, which has 22.
Asian countries figured predominantly in this year's New York Festivals. Singapore and Hong Kong both have 21 finalists, while India and Philippines each has 19.
Other Asian nations with a number of finalists this year includes Japan (13), China (7), Kore (5) and Malaysia (2).
