'Ocean's 13' rules over 'Pirates 3'

Ocean's Thirteen is the new ruler in the US Box Office chart, but it fell short of expectations. Its opening weekend sales is only $37.1M, slightly lower than its prequels' grosses: Ocean's Eleven had $38.1M while Ocean's Twelve had $39.2M.

Pirates of the Caribbean 3 which ruled the box-office for two weeks, slipped to #2, followed by a surprise hit Knocked Up, which remains strong on its 2nd week.

New releases such as Surf's Up and Hostel: Part Two failed to make a very good impression in the tills.

Previous box-office champs Shrek the Third, Spider-Man 3 and Disturbia have proven their staying power, especially the latter which has been staying in the Top 10 for 10 weeks already.

Here's the estimated US Box Office Weekend Sales from June 08 to 10, 2007:

    1. "Ocean's Thirteen," $37.1 million.
    2. "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End," $21.3 million.
