Sharon Cuneta: Willie Revillame not the only one to blame in 'Jan-Jan' controversy

Sharon Cuneta defended her husband, Sen. Kiko Pangilinan, over the Senator's issue with Willing Willie host Willie Revillame.

The issue about Sen. Kiko and Willie started when the Senator criticized Willie after the latter said on his program Willing Willie that he will sue those who criticized him on Twitter. (He changed his mind a few days later.)

That was in April 9 when Sen. Kiko posted this tweet on his official Twitter account (@kikopangilinan):

Sen. Kiko Pangilinan vs Willie Revillame on Twitter

Some people took side with Sen. Kiko, but there were also those who criticized the Senator for making that remark on Twitter. (You can read some comments about the issue HERE).

In an ABS-CBN News interview, Sharon defended her husband's reaction against Willie Revillame, "Well I guess he’s a father kasi, he’s devoted. So siyempre hindi mo maiaalis sa kanya kung gusto niya mag-react."

And when asked about her personal opinion with regard to the "Jan-Jan incident" on Willie Revillame's show Willing Willie, Sharon refused to express opinion on the issue, but she believes though that not only one person is to be blamed with what happened. “Ako ayaw ko na lang mag-comment na. I think masyado ng malaki ang gulo at hindi lang naman isang tao ang dapat i-blame doon. That’s my pananaw, hindi lang isang tao.”

I think that's an opinion already. Though she didn't mention Willie's name, she somehow believes that he is not the only one to be blamed.

And I actually agree with what Ms. Sharon said.

There was a mistake and it was not Willie's sole mistake.

As for Sir Willie, it's Holy Week, I hope he finds time to reflect that somehow he also made a mistake there. We all have our imperfections naman talaga.

This Holy Week, maybe let's also find time to pray for the betterment of all who got involved in this controversy, that they may finally find piece in their hearts, and also pray for the Filipino society, in general. We have lots of problems in our society, much worse than what happened on Willing Willie.

Hayden Kho - Sharon Cuneta Billboard Controversy: Vicki Belo defends boyfriend

Dra. Vicki Belo has defended boyfriend Hayden Kho Jr on the billboard controversy involving Hayden and Mega Star Sharon Cuneta.

On her TV Patrol interview last night, Dra. Belo said that Hayden Kho was not referring to Sharon on his tweet last January 29.

She said, "In the first place, wala namang binanggit si Hayden so hindi sya dapat idiin. We all just want peace. I wish everyone to be beautiful. Let's all lose weight na lang".

Just this morning on GMA's Unang Hirit, the couple reiterated that they have nothing against Sharon.

Hayden explained why he refused to say sorry. "Wala naman talaga kong dapat ipag-sorry. Pag nag sorry naman ako, baka isipin nila may admission of guilt."

Belo, who's ever supportive to Hayden, echoed that and said, "Naaawa ako kasi alam kong wala naman talagang ginawa si Hayden."

The controversy started when Hayden Kho allegedly posted a negative remark against a billboard on EDSA.

Sharon reacted, believing it was her Marie France billboard that Hayden was referring to on his tweet.

    ***

I just hope that this will be the last time that Ms. Sharon will be involved in a negative issue. She should avoid it the next time 'coz it's not doing her any good at all.

First, her "tampuhan" issue with Aga Muhlach which she herself started. Secondly, she allegedly confronted Cristine Reyes about the latter's remarks against Sarah Geronimo. And here's a new one, this time against Hayden Kho.

Sharon Cuneta falls on stage, rushed to the hospital after her Mega 2011 Birthday Concert

Sharon Cuneta fell on stage during one production number at her "Mega 2011: The Sharon Cuneta Birthday Concert" held in Araneta Coliseum last night, January 11, 2011.

The incident happened while Sharon was doing a prod with Billy Crawford and RJ Jacinto and it reportedly silenced the ecstatic crowd who flocked the venue to celebrate with the Megastar on her special birthday concert.

But as a professional artist that she is and despite not feeling well already, Sharon managed to finish the concert for the love of her fans.

Proof to that is the concert's finale number of Sharon Cuneta with no less than Sarah Geronimo. (Wow! Sarah is indeed special to the Megastar.)

Sharon had to be rushed to the hospital Emergency Room right after the concert. "The Megastar even had to use a wheelchair while she was escorted out the South Gate of Araneta together with husband Kiko
Pangilinan," @abscbndotcom posted on Twitter last night.

    Just this morning,
Sharon's daughter KC Concepcion shared to everyone on Twitter what happened after the concert. "After the show mom felt some pain in her neck and back, and also had dizzy spells. She was brought to the ER, all's clear, exhaustion lang," KC posted.

Fans have nothing to worry 'coz Sharon is fine now and already out of the hospital. "Mom is home, no more pain. Tnx for ur concern!" KC assures everyone.

    Good to hear that!

The Mega 2011 birthday concert itself was a huge success with more than 20 biggest artists performing for a jam-packed crowd.

KC Concepcion and Sam Milby before their number (Oh the muscles!)

The heart-pounding acrobatic dance on air of KC and Sam. It's said to be the best production number of the evening.

The handsomest hunks of all! The three altogether performed with three beautiful ladies. Sam was paired to Toni Gonzaga, Piolo Pascual of course with KC and Jericho Rosales with Karylle.

Other performers included Ai-Ai delas Alas, Lani Misalucha, Nina, Gloc9, Sitti, Yeng Constantino, Jovit Baldivino, Enchong Dee, Sam Concepcion, Robi Domingo, Melai Cantiveros, Jason Francisco, Chokoleit, A-Pop, Star Power Final 5 and more.

It was hosted by Erik Santos, K Brosas and Zanjoe Marudo.

The Mega 2011: Sharon Cuneta Birthday Concert will be aired this January 23, 2011 on ABS-CBN's Sunday's Best.

Star Power Final 5 contestants named

Star Power: Sharon's Search for the Next Female Pop Superstar will have 5 contestants competing in the grand finals happening this February, 2011.

As announced on the show's episode last night, they decided to have 5 contenders on the grand finale instead of the planned Final 4 because the remaining 5 contestants are all worthy of a spot in the finals.

While it may sound favorable to the 5 contestants, it didn't ring good to some of the fans who've been voting online and via SMS, because they felt that their votes were totally ignored.

That's actually one of the flaws of Star Power. We are not sure if the votes are really being considered because it's not being revealed and for the judges, viewers' votes totally don't exist.

Judge Bobot Mortiz once said this to a contestant who ranked in the Bottom 4, "Nagtataka talaga 'ko kung bakit palagi kang napapasama sa Bottom 4." Didn't he know that text votes are part of the contestants' scores?

I also hope that there will be a separate judges on the finals because the resident judges have been playing favorites. Judge Billy Crawford was caught last night labeling one of the 5 contestants as "my favorite" while he was announcing her name as one of the Final 5.

But with judges having a clear favorite among the contestants could mean she could be the winner already, because the judges are already close of the possibility that other contestants might get ahead of her.

I'm not against any of the Final 5. I actually like them all for they really have what they call as the "star power". It's just that I want the judges to be fair to all of them.

If they can't have new judges on the finals, better tell the current judges to stop revealing who their favorites are because their judging becomes subjective already.

On Star Power Official Facebook Page, viewer Sherlyn Lorenzo posted this comment after last night's episode: "Kelangan pa pu b mgvote?ei di b me favorite n ang mga judges?:(sure b na ang boto ng ta0ng bayan ang mgpapanalo s mpipili nlang krapat dpat s pwesto?o ang ch0ice din ng mga judge?.haay....may the best gurl win nlng...gudluck s final 5..."

    She has a point.

The Final 5: (Don't forget to vote at the fun poll found at the bottom of this post)

Akiko Solon, 16, Sweet and Sexy Siren of Cebu

Angeline Quinto, 20, Pop Belter of Manila

    K-la Rivera, 19, R&B Sweetheart of Canada

Krissel Valdez, 21, Soulful Diva of Davao

Monica Sacay, 15, Charming Biritera of Leyte

Sharon Cuneta Mega Drama Concert: Sarah Geronimo in a special appearance

Sharon Cuneta and Sarah Geronimo will have a special appearance in Sharon Cuneta's Mega Drama concert in
Araneta Coliseum on August 7, 2010.

It's kinda exciting because Sarah was once tagged as the new Sharon Cuneta.

There was also an issue before between Sarah and Sharon when Sarah was
about to do a remake of Sharon's precious 80's movie "Dear Heart",
which starred the Mega Star opposite ex-hubby Gabby Concepcion.

But Sharon was strongly against it.

However, on TV, Sarah was able to do a remake of 2 Sharon movies: "Bituing Walang Ningning" and "Pangarap Na Bituin".

Last Sunday, Sarah already guested on Sharon's show to promote "Hating Kapatid",

Aside from Sarah, other guest performers in the Mega Drama concert

And this 2010, a reunion happened on TV when Gabby guested for the first time on Sharon's self-titled show. With daughter KC, it's like a family reunion for the three.

Bong Revilla wins Best Actor in the MMFF 2009

In the recently concluded Awards Night of MMFF 2009, Sharon Cuneta was Best Actress for Mano Po 6 while ex-husband Gabby Concepcion lost to Sen. Bong Revilla for "Ang Panday".

It's the first time that the Megastar has won as Best Actress in a Metro Manila Film Festival. In 2003, she won a special awards as Best Actress for "Crying Ladies" in MMFF, but it was voted by the public.

Sen. Bong's victory was somehow expected, as well as that of his co-star Phillip Salvador who won as Best Supporting Actor. It's Phillip's 2nd consecutive year to win the same award. Last year, he won for the movie "Baler". While it was a first for Sen. Bong, who has been in the biz for 26 years.

MMFF actually has a history of giving "first" for many actors and actresses. In 2007, Sen. Jinggoy Estrada also won his first Best Actor award for the movie "Katas ng Saudi".

After the awards night, Sen. Bong said he owed his victory to the multi-awarded Phillip Salvador because the latter coached him how to portray his role in the movie.

Heart Evangelista, who played Sharon Cuneta's daughter in "Mano Po 6", was the Best Supporting Actress.

Just like Phillip, "Ang Panday" child star Robert "Buboy" Villar also won his 2nd consecutive Best Child Performer award from the MMFF. Last year, Buboy won for "Shake, Rattle & Roll X".

Congrats to all the acting awardees of this year's MMFF.

Gabby greets ex-wife Sharon during her birthday concert

Megastar Sharon Cuneta celebrated her 43rd birthday through a birthday concert at the Araneta Coliseum last Friday and surprisingly, her former husband Gabby Concepcion greeted her via a videotaped birthday message.

For sure, it was Gabby's first "birthday message with consent" for the Megastar since they parted ways way back then.

Sharon's fans were so ecstatic to hear Gabby's message to their idol. Proof to that was the thunderous loud cheers they gave during the night.

And for most people, Gabby's pre-taped birthday message is considered the hightlight of the event, probably the most touching part of the celebration.

However, for the birthday girl, the most touching part for her was the videotaped message of her husband, Sen. Kiko Pangilinan, and of her daughters Frankie, Miel and KC Concepcion.

I hope and I pray that a reunion movie of Sharon and Gabby plus KC with a cameo appearance of Senator Kiko will be next. Let's keep our fingers crossed to that.
