EDSA People Power Revolution 25th Anniversary Video - 'Handog ng Pilipino sa Mundo' featuring ASAP artists

In commemoration of the 25th Anniversary of the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution, ABS-CBN's ASAP Rocks has come up with a music video featuring some of its biggest artists.

They're doing their own version of "Handog ng Pilipino Sa Mundo" which was the theme song for the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution and was composed by Jim Paredes of APO Hiking Society.

The ASAP artists singing in the EDSA People Power @ 25 video are as follows (in order of appearance):

In August 2009, Sarah was among of those who performed "Handog Ng Pilipino Sa Mundo" before the funeral of former President and People Power Icon Cory Aquino. She performed with The Apo Hiking Society, Leah Salonga, Martin Nievera, Ogie Alcasid, Regine Velasquez, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Dulce, Erik Santos, Jed Madela, Piolo Pascual and Jose Mari Chan.

Chinese New Year 2011 or Year of the Metal Rabbit countdown tonight on ABS-CBN and Studio23

The Chinese New Year 2011 or the Year of the Metal Rabbit is coming in a few hours and ABS-CBN will have a countdown of it tonight.

ABS-CBN celebrates the 2011 Chinese New Year with the Filipino-Chinese community tonight at the Quirino Grand Stand featuring some of your favorite Kapamilya stars.

It will be hosted by Pokwang, Jayson Gainza, TJ Manotoc and Venus Raj.

Featured stars/performers include Sam Milby, Erik Santos, Juris, Star Power Final 5, Jovit Baldivino, Bugoy Drilon, Frenchie Dy, Laarni Lozada, VoizBoys, Princess Velasco, Megan Young, Bianca Manalo, Sandra Seifert, Chokoleit, Usapang Lalake hosts, XB GenSan, Alakim, Kyle Balili, Rhap Salazar, Markki Stroem, RJ Jimenez, Hanna Flores, Sam Concepcion, Jed Madela and Richard Poon.

There will be live updates of it on ABS-CBN Channel 2 shows like TV Patrol, SNN and Bandila.

ABS-CBN's affiliate channel Studio 23 will also be airing the said Chinese New Year 2011 celebration from 7 to 9 PM and at 10 PM onwards.

2nd PMPC Star Awards for Music (2010) winners: Erik Santos, Sarah Geronimo, Jericho Rosales and more

PMPC bared its winners for the 2nd Star Awards for Music last night,
10/10/10, at the Henry Irwin Lee Theater in Ateneo de Manila University.



Jericho Rosales wins Song of the Year for "Pusong Ligaw"

Big winner was Erik Santos whose album "The Jim Brickman Songbook" won as Pop Album of the Year and he was named Male Pop Artist of the Year
and also as Male Recording Artist of the Year (tied with Christian Bautista).

Piolo Pascual's "Decades" was honored as Best Revival Album and Best Album Cover. Piolo himself and KC Concepcion were awarded Stars of the
Night.

Sarah Geronimo was the Female Recording Artist of the Year while Jericho Rosales's "Pusong Ligaw" won as Song of the Year. Sarah and
Jericho were also adjuged Faces of the Night.

Also winning two honors were La Diva, Aiza Seguerra and Blanktape.

The highest honor went to Yeng Constantino's "Lapit" as Album of the Year.

October 10, 2010 (10-10-10): "Star Power" premieres on ABS-CBN

It's 10-10-10! Star Power: Sharon's Search for the Next Female Pop Superstar will premiere tonight on ABS-CBN.

It's hosted by the MegaStar Sharon with Prince of Pop Erik Santos and Asiansation Christian Bautista as her co-hosts.

Judges include Direk Bobot Mortiz, Mitch Valdez and Billy Crawford. Arnel Pineda will also sit as judge on future episodes.

Top 20 finalists have been chosen already last September 10 and 3 possible finalists are Joy Laquinario, Kaye Razel Racho and Rose Ann Francisco.

Star Power will be aired right after Goin' Bulilit.

A lot of exciting things are actually happening this October 10, 2010 (10-10-10) other than the Star Power premiere.

The Run for the Pasig River already happened this morning from Makati Ave. to the SM Mall of Asia. Manny Pacquiao and Piolo Pascual were among the celebs who participated in the event.

And tonight at SM MOA Concert Grounds, Adam Lambert will hold his Glam Nation Tour Live in Manila concert.

Erik Santos, bumigay na...finally!

Yes, finally ay bumigay na nga ang Prince of Pop Erik Santos at ready
na sya to reveal the other side of him.

Bumigay na si Erik sa wish ng kanyang fans na makita sya finally in an MMK episode. Actually, they've been requesting Erik and Sarah Geronimo
to appear together in MMK.

But at least, it's somehow granted as Erik will make his acting debut on MMK this Saturday, July 24, 2010.

It's exciting because it's something he never did before and as what he said on ASAP XV yesterday, bigay todo sya sa MMK at binuhos best nya to make it another memorable episode of the show.

Erik's special MMK episode will be the show's opening salvo for its
19th anniversary celebration. He plays Clifford Allen Estrala, a
well-known Filipino performer in Macau, who personally chose Erik to portray himself.

Directed by Mae Cruz, it was all shot in Macau and also stars Kristel Moreno, Paw Diaz and Jojit Lorenzo.

If he gets good reviews for it, for sure more acting projects will come to Erik, who is already a multi-awarded, platinum-selling recording artist and concert performer.

In 2004, Erik's very own life story was already featured on MMK but Jericho Rosales was the one who portrayed as Erik Santos.
