Garrie Concepcion joins Papa Gabby & sister KC Concepcion in showbiz

Garrie Concepcion is now in showbiz, joining her father Gabby Concepcion and half-sister KC Concepcion.








22-year-old Garrie Concepcion is set to launch her own album soon and is also open to try acting.

As early as October in 2010, she already expressed her intention in joining showbiz. And by that time, she was already under negotiations with Boy Abunda's Backroom Inc.

Born Gabrielle Marie Ibuna Concepcion, Garrie is the daughter of Gabby to his former partner, the socialite-businesswoman Grace Ibuna.

Gabby's other children aside from KC and Garrie are Chloe, 16, (his daughter with Jenny Syquia) and Samantha, 3, (with Genevieve Yatco Gonzales).

Topel Lee's "White House" movie poster unveiled

The official poster of Director Topel Lee's latest horror film "White House" has been revealed but it doesn't look creepy.



Except that of Iza Calzado, nothing in there would tell you that it's one horrible film.

The pictures of the cast members on the left part are as if they're
promoting a concert event, with some are smiling and others are posing as if it's a glamour shot.

However, I've seen the trailer of "White House" and somehow, it's also
scary just like Topel Lee's past horror films.

Still in celebration of Regal Film's 50th Anniversary, "White House" will hit theaters on October 13, 2010.

Movie Trailer: "White House" - a horror flick from Regal Films

Three days after "Mamarazzi" opened in theaters, Regal Entertainment, Inc. has already released the movie trailer of its next offering, entitled "White House", topbilled by Gabby Concepcion.

Though it's like a combination of some of Regal's horror films in the past, "White House" is still interesting to watch. The trailer is already terrifying and freaky intense.

Is this Gabby's first ever horror film? If yes, then it's extra exciting!

Joining Gabby in the film are Iza Calzado, Lovi Poe, Joem Bascon, Janus del Prado, Megan Young, Mo Twister, Sarah Lahbati, Jairus Aquino, Lui Villaruz, Angel Jacob and Maricar Reyes.

Is it DJ Mo's first ever movie? Oh well, he's still speaking so much English here.

"White House" opens in October in time for Halloween 2010 and is directed by Topel Lee, who helmed "Ouija", "Sundo" and three episodes in "Shake, Rattle & Roll" movies.

Sharon - Gabby - KC TV Reunion

Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion with daughter KC Concepcion were
once a happy family more than 20 years ago.







But that didn't continue when Sharon and Gabby parted ways with both
sides later building new families of their own. Then Gabby left the country and was gone for 13 long years years.

And this 2010, a reunion happened on TV when Gabby guested for the first time on Sharon's self-titled show. With daughter KC, it's like a family reunion for the three.

It marks the first time after almost 20 years that Gabby and Sharon
showed up on TV together, side by side, playing sweet to each other (at least on TV). And for their fans, their loveteam still works and brings so much "kilig" to them!

Sharon has agreed to guest Gabby in her show in support of daughter Kc's movie with her dad entitled "I'll Be There" which opens June 16.

After that TV reunion, fans of Sharon and Gabby are optimistic that a reunion movie for the two (plus KC) will be next.

The 2-part special of "Sharon" which was taped yesterday will be shown this Sunday, June 13, then the following Sunday, June 20 (in time for the Father's Day Celebration).

It's nice that ABS-CBN has allowed 'Ang Panday' star Ramon 'Bong' Revilla to promote his movie in the Kapamilya network kahit na GMA-produced ito.

Earlier nasa 'The Buzz' si Senator Bong at last Thursday, live din siyang napanood sa
'Showtime'.

Nice nga ba 'to samantalang may entry din ang Star Cinema sa MMFF '09, ang 'I Love You Goodbye' which stars Gabby Concepcion and Angelica Panganiban?

Big advantage nga naman ito for 'Ang Panday' na naipopromote sa magkabilang istasyon while kahit isa man lang sa cast ng ILYG ay 'di man lang makapagplug sa GMA 7. Kahit nga showbiz reports sa GMA ay napakatipid sa pagbanggit ng pelikula ng Star Cinema, pero kabaligtaran naman sa ABS-CBN kung saan maluwag na nababanggit ang 'Ang Panday' sa SNN, Umagang Kay Ganda, The Buzz at TV Patrol World.

Is AJ Perez the next Gabby Concepcion?




In 2008, AJ played the young Gabby Concepcion (as Raphael) in the hit drama Iisa Pa Lamang and now in the Sunday drama series Your Song Presents: Underage, he portrays the role originally played by Gabby in the movie version.

Both were also discovered from a TV commercial. Gabby was discovered in a Close-Up commercial while AJ was noticed in a Milo ad.

Aj just turned 16 last February and with how he looks like today, he is undoubtedly going to be the next matinee idol, just like 80's hunk Gabby Concepcion.

Gabby greets ex-wife Sharon during her birthday concert

Megastar Sharon Cuneta celebrated her 43rd birthday through a birthday concert at the Araneta Coliseum last Friday and surprisingly, her former husband Gabby Concepcion greeted her via a videotaped birthday message.

For sure, it was Gabby's first "birthday message with consent" for the Megastar since they parted ways way back then.

Sharon's fans were so ecstatic to hear Gabby's message to their idol. Proof to that was the thunderous loud cheers they gave during the night.

And for most people, Gabby's pre-taped birthday message is considered the hightlight of the event, probably the most touching part of the celebration.

However, for the birthday girl, the most touching part for her was the videotaped message of her husband, Sen. Kiko Pangilinan, and of her daughters Frankie, Miel and KC Concepcion.

I hope and I pray that a reunion movie of Sharon and Gabby plus KC with a cameo appearance of Senator Kiko will be next. Let's keep our fingers crossed to that.

Gabby Concepcion's father passes away

In a report by ABS-CBN's Bandila last night, Gabby Concepcion's father Rolly died of a heart ailment Tuesday evening, September 23, 2008 at the Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Mandaluyong City.

It has been a known fact that Mr. Rolly was ill and sick for many years already and according to Gabby, it was his very reason why he came back to the Philippines after staying in the US for 13 long years.

During the presscon of Iisa Pa Lamang in July, Gabby shared that most of his father's arteries were clogged and could not be operated anymore.

Mr. Rolly was 72.

Impressive debuts on Odyssey's Top 20 album chart

Just like on MYX Countdown, both Gabby (photo) and KC Concepcion are making their presences felt in the music industry with their debut albums dominating the Top 20 Philippine Albums.

Gabby's self-titled debut album, #4, is enjoying its first month in the Odyssey album chart as of September 01, 2008 while KC a.k.a. Cassandra, which has been in the chart for three months already, is still strong at #5.

Aside from Gabby's album, there are other albums with strong debuts in the chart for the month of August.

Nina's newest album, which has a revival of the hit song I Don't Want To Miss A Thing, is on the top spot, beating previous ruler Ikaw Ang Pangarap by Martin Nievera.

Also making an impressive debut is Lani Misalucha's Reminisce which is currently at #3 slot and might grab the top spot on the chart's next edition.

For the first time in MYX history, real-life father and daughter with two separate singles have broken into the Top 20 OPM Countdown this week.

KC Concepcion's Imposible, #17, is enjoying its 10th week while her father Gabby is making his debut in the MYX chart.

With his first single from his very first album, Gabby currently occupies the slot right next to his daughter.

At least on this case, Gabby has come closer to his daughter in the OPM Chart and he does it ahead of KC's mother Sharon Cuneta, who also happens to be a music artist.

Good job, Gabby!

Gabby plus KC minus Sharon on ASAP '08

For the first time on Philippine television, KC Concepcion had the chance to perform a duet with her real life dad Gabby Concepcion on ASAP '08, Sunday, August 24, 2008.

As what Ruffa Gutierrez calls it a "virtual duet", the father and daughter number happened with KC singing live on ASAP while Gabby performing on a pre-taped video.

It was indeed a delight for the fans, but many are wondering why the two could not have a live duet, when they are both in the country.

As one fan puts it, KC's mom has something to do with why KC and Gabby have not appeared yet together on TV.

Or maybe, it's something to look forward to, when KC and Gabby will get the chance to do a movie together someday and that's the time when the two of tem will guest live to promote the movie.



KC was with Richard Gutierrez to promote their movie For The First Time under Star Cinema.

The premiere night will be held tomorrow, August 26, at SM Megamall Cinema 10.

Rumor has it that Sharon won't be coming to the premiere night, because Gabby is believed to be attending the event.

On Sharon's show last night, the Megastar was heard talking about the uncertainty of going to the preview.

Sharon was quoted saying, "Depende sa anak ko... Loyal ka naman sa 'kin anak, di ba?"
