Riza Santos is Miss World Canada 2011 winner

Riza Santos won as Miss World Canada 2011 and will represent Canada in the Miss World 2011 happening on November 8 in London.






The crowning of 23-year-old half-Filipina Riza Santos as Miss World Canada 2011 was held Thursday, May 19, at the River Rock Show Casino Show Theatre in Richmond, British Columbia with Riza Santos winning over 21 other Canadian candidates.

Riza succeeded Denise Garrido who in Miss World 2010 was among the Top 25 Semi-Finalists.

In 2006, Riza already competed as Miss Canada in the Miss Earth pageant which was held here in the Philippines.

She won as Miss Photogenic but failed to enter the semis. However, it paved the way for her to become a famous showbiz personality in the Philippines.

Riza joined Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition 2 and finished as 2nd Big Placer.

On her profile at MissWorldCanada.org, stated there that Riza was the lead actress of a Philippine blockbuster movie. They're referring to the movie "Dobol Trobol: Let's Get Redi to Rambol" where Riza played leading lady to Vic Sotto.

Riza is currently an Engineering student at the University of Calgary's Schulich School of Engineering in Alberta, Canada.

PBB Season 4 audition in Naga City, Camarines Sur cancelled!

The audition of Pinoy Big Brother Season 4 in Naga City, Camarines Sur has been cancelled due to a transport strike in the city.

The audition is supposed to be held tomorrow, March 16, 8 am to 3 pm, at SM City Naga.

But it's only this afternoon, a day before the audition, that the cancellation was made thru an official statement.

It says, "Due to the transport strike in Naga City, we are cancelling the Pinoy Big Brother audition scheduled tomorrow, March 16, at SM Naga. We are very sorry for this unfortunate event but we cannot risk the safety of the auditionees in terms of their means of transportation. Thank you for your understanding."

The cancellation reportedly brings disappointment to some Bicolanos who will try out in the PBB audition tomorrow.

Some reportedly have already arrived in Naga City as early as today, especially those coming from the islands of Mabate and Catanduanes, to make sure they'd be the first to line up tomorrow.

PBB though has promised that they will set a new audition schedule in Naga.

The transport strike tom isn't only in Naga, but in the whole Bicol Region.

According to the website Baretang Bikolnon, the regionwide transport strike this March 16 is a protest against oil price increases or overpricing.

The transport strike notice came out and was posted in the site yesterday, March 14, but the cancellation by PBB was made only this afternoon.

The cancellation of the audition actually is already the best option for cases like that.

James Reid voted Hottest Hunk in the Philippines for 2010

James Reid has been voted as the Hottest Hunk in the Philippines for 2010, based on Mykiru's Poll conducted from December 17 to 27.



The Big Winner of PBB Teen Clash 2010 faced a tough competition in Gerald Anderson who is voted as the 2nd hottest hunk in the country this year with only 45 votes shy of defeating James for the title.
(It's like Justin Bieber beating Chris Brown.)

At only 17, James who is half-Australian, half-Filipino, is definitely budding into a very appealing, gorgeous young man. Actually, he is gorgeous already and can you imagine what he's gonna turn into when he reaches 20?

James is currently seen on ABS-CBN's teen show "Shoutout" as members of the Tuesdelicious group and catch him this 2011 in the teen-drama "Good Vibes".

Last October, he was ranked 5th on Candy Magazine's list of Celeb Candy Cuties for 2010.

He's also the celebrity endorser of Jagthug Jeans.

Kim, Enchong, PBB Teens & more brighten up Christmas Tree Lighting in Araneta Center

The Araneta Center in Cubao is at its brightest now that its giant Christmas Tree has been lighted earlier this evening.

The Coca-Cola-sponsored event continued the annual tradition spanning 29 years already.

And just like in the previous years, some of the brightest stars gathered in Araneta for the Coca Cola Caravan and Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony.


PBB Teens

Gracing the event were Coke Ambassadors Kim Chiu and Enchong Dee along with Empress Schuck, Matt Evans, Robi Domingo, Joseph Marco, PBB Teen Clash loveteams James Reid-Devon Seron, Bret Jackson-Fretzie Bercede, Ryan Bang-Jenny Kim and Ivan Dorschner-Tricia Santos.

Also spotted there were "Koreana" stars Kris Bernal, Rocco Nacino and Steven Silva with fellow Starstruck graduates Enzo Pineda and Diva Montelaba as well as Binibining Pilipinas beauties led by Venus Raj.

Hundreds of people who flocked Araneta Center were also treated with a special show right after the Christmas tree lighting.

It featured performances from Carol Banawa, Gigger Boys (Sam Concepcion, Enrique Gil, Robi Domingo), Sitti, Juris, Velasco Brothers, Yeng Constantino, Bugoy Drilon, Rhap Salazar, Star Power finalists, Karylle and Ms. Zsa Zsa Padilla.

PBB teens James Reid, Ann Li, Bret Jackson, Fretzie Bercede, Ivan Dorschner, Tricia Santos and Ryan Bang also performed a dance number.

Also there were "Mara Clara" stars Kathryn Bernardo, Julia Montes, Albie Casiño and John Manalo, Kokey, Kekay and Bianca Manalo.

But the brightest star of the event was actually the giant Christmas tree, which signals the start of the Christmas season in Araneta and will brighten up the area from now on until the season ends.

ABS-CBN Christmas 2010 Station ID to be launched tomorrow, November 4

ABS-CBN will launch tomorrow, November 4, its Station ID for Christmas 2010.

With the theme "Ngayong Pasko, Magningning ang Pilipino" sang by Gary V and Toni Gonzaga, it will be shown for the first time tomorrow, right after TV Patrol and hundreds of Kapamilya stars are featured there.

On my part, I'm so much excited to see the PBB Teen Clash housemates who are making their debut on a Station ID of ABS-CBN, just like the Hitmakers, Pilipinas Got Talent finalists and "Juanita Banana" Bianca Manalo.

Every year, viewers look forward to the unveiling of ABS-CBN's Station ID for Christmas.

PBB ex-housemate Ivan Dorschner is saying goodbye to teenhood as he
celebrates his 20th birthday today, September 21.



Ivan for sure is feeling mixed emotions today. He may be sad because
he's no longer a teen, but definitely he's happier that he's now a
young man, a dashingly gorgeous young man who has exciting things
coming up for him.

To start it off, Ivan's fans have created an official website for him as their birthday gift. The fans can interact with each other there and have all the chance to chat with the birthday boy tomorrow at 10PM.

Ivan's fans are truly making his 20th birthday extra special. They also made it sure that Yeng Constantino's music video for "Jeepney
Love Story" which features Ivan as Yeng's leading man will have high ranking on MYX Charts.

As of this week, the video is #3 on Pinoy MYX countdown and #10 on MYX Hit Chart, and Ivan's fans who have been voting for it definitely
should also be credited for that.

Ivan will also part of "Good Vibes", an upcoming youth-oriented show

Johan Santos makes it to Cosmo 69 Bachelors list for the 2nd time

Johan Santos is among the Cosmo 69 Bachelors for 2010, which is already his 2nd time to be part of the mag's annual list.

There were some Cosmo Bachelors who become Cosmo Centerfolds but this is I think the first time that a guy makes it to Cosmo 69 Bachelors twice.

I have my Cosmo 69 copies from 2005 to 2010, and there was no single guy who made it twice except for Johan Santos. I just don't know if it already happened prior to 2005.

Comparing Johan's past Cosmo shot to his latest one, there's a major major difference in how he looks. At least, Johan has evolved into a yummy hunk. So, maybe that explains why he has to return and prove he's so much hotter now than before.

Tom definitely has the mysterious good looks and his eyes are penetrating.

I love the perfect shot of his veins and I can feel Tom's urge when he did that.

It amazes me how Tom went this far since his exit from Pinoy Big Brother.

Johan Santos will grace the Cosmo Bachelor Bash this September 9 at the World Trade Center along with other PBB ex-housemates Paul Jake Castillo, Hermes Bautista and Tom Rodriguez. Johan, Paul Jake and Hermes are among the Cosmo 69 Bachelors while Tom is one of the 10 Celebrity Centerfolds.

It's already Johan's 2nd time to be part of the Cosmo 69. He was already part of it back in 2005 before he joined GMA 7's Starstruck. So pwede palang umulit? He should have been in the Celebrity Centerfolds already for this year just like Tom.

On TV, Johan will also be part of Wansapanataym's initial offering entitled "Inday Bote" with Melai Cantiveros, Rayver Cruz, Jon Avila and Cathy Remperas. It will premiere on September 11.

Big Brother is back...as a special judge on Showtime, on the show's first episode on its new timeslot.

Kuya is the special judge while Vice Ganda is still out of the country.

It's so exciting because just like in the PBB House, Kuya is judging only via voice over. And during the "sample" portion, Kuya sang Justin Bieber's baby. But when it comes to his way of judging, he sounded so serious as usual.

PBB Teens cast in the newest youth-oriented show on ABS-CBN.

PBB Teen Clash of 2010 Big Winner James Reid and some other ex-housemates have been cast on ABS-CBN's newest youth-oriented show "Good Vibes".





Joining James are Fretzie Bercede, Devon Seron, Yen Santos and Ivan Dorschner.

How sad, there's no Bret Jackson and Ryan Bang in the cast. Bakit kaya?

There's an ongoing campaign now on Twitter requesting to include Bret in the said teen show. Check it out now! Makinig kaya ang ABS-CBN?

But good thing they've included Gigger Boys members Sam Concepcion and
Enrique Gil in the show plus Arron Villaflor, Heidi Riego, Enrique's real-life girlfriend Coleen Garcia Ortega and two new faces.

No date yet for the airing, but ABS-CBN will most likely put it on a Sunday afternoon.

Ivan Dorschner drunk at a party?

There's a widespread rumor on Twitter and Facebook that PBB Teen Clash of 2010 5th Big Placer Ivan Dorschner allegedly got drunk at a
birthday party recently.

It was Joe Vargas' birthday party and attended by former PBB Teen Clash housemates such as Ivan, Tricia Santos, Patrick Sugui, Jovic Susim, Richard Ng, Ann Li and James Reid.

It all started when someone, who was also at the party, tweeted that Ivan made no "pansin" of Tricia but not when he was drunk and made & already making quot;papansin" to her.

On Facebook, there's another version alleging that Ivan got drunk because he was jealous of Tricia being close to James in the said party.

Tricia later defended Ivan on Twitter by denying the rumor: "Gusto ko lang pong i-clarify, hindi po lasing si Ivan kagabi :) please RT :)
thank you po :)."

So, that's it! I hope the rumor will die down already.

The picture above was taken at Joe's party and as you can see, Ivan looks pinkish but definitely doesn't mean he was drunk that time. So
probably he was only mistaken as such.

Maybe he was "nakainom lang" and not "lasing" because a drunk person is already crawling when he goes home from a party.

And besides, as an Irish guy, Ivan is naturally pinkish, just like this old photo of him:

James Reid, PBB Teen Clash of 2010 Big Winner

Fil-Australian housemate James Reid has triumphed as the Big Winner during the PBB Teen Clash Big Night held earlier.

James had a total online and text votes of 179,294 or 19.75%, winning P1,000,000 cash, a condo unit, Sony Vaio laptop, 46-inch Sony Bravia LCD TV, a business franchise and an Asian trip for two.

He prevented Ryan Bang to be the first ever non-Filipino winner of PBB. Though half-Filipino, James is the first ever PBB winner who doesn't speak fluent Tagalog or any Filipino dialect.

Baby James to his fellow housemates, he's considered among the nicest and well-liked housemates this season, not to mention being the cutest housemate of PBB Teen Clash 2010.

I said before that James was admirable for not expecting himself to be in the Big 6 and even as the Big Winner. He felt that the other housemates were more deserving than him. His humility added to his lovable personality have put him to where he is now, the newest Big winner of Pinoy Big Brother.

While inside the house, fans have paired James to 4 housemates, coining names like: Trimes, Jamli, Jevon and even Brames.

James held the record this season for getting the highest percentage ever, during the 6th Eviction when he got 68.86%.

It was actually a close fight, as any of the Big 6 could end up as big winner. Here's the official and final vote results:
