    The Candy Fair 2011, or what I call as the Cuties' Day, is happening this Saturday, September 24, 2011, from 9AM to 5PM, at the Megatent Events Venue in Ortigas, Pasig City.

    Candy Magazine, which holds the annual Candy Fair, has revealed via its Facebook Page the celebrity cuties who will be attending the said event and one of them is controversial teen actor Albie Casiño.

    Now I miss AJ Perez :(.

    AJ was a consistent "Candy Cutie" and attended the Candy Fair during his last three years (2008, 2009, 2010).

    His brother Gello and parents reportedly are attending the Candy Fair 2011. (Probably Candy Mag is going to pay tribute to their favorite cutie AJ Perez at the said event.)

AJ Perez' gf Steph Ayson tweets photo of new "bf"

    Steph Ayson was caught on Twitter posting about a recent date with someone only one month after the death of her boyfriend AJ Perez.

    While Bagyong Chedeng was causing heavy rains in Metro Manila last Wednesday, May 25, Steph tweeted: "Oh Chedeng...You are ruining my date with @Qfilart", which sounded not so good to some AJ Perez' fans coz they thought Steph has found a new bf after AJ, who just died last month.

    But Steph was quick to clarify that @Qfilart is not a new BF (boyfriend) but a girl BF (best friend) and the fans have nothing to worry about. "No no no. @Qfilart is one of my best girl friends. She's a great friend of ours! (AJ and I) HAHAHA Hindi siya guy!"

    And then she made fun of the moment when she posted, "You people are so funny! Hahahah! Wait, ha. @Qfilart is on HER way here. I'll check if SHE's really a GIRL. Balitaan ko kayo. HAHAHA"

    To make everyone really believe that @Qfilart, Steph then later posted a photo of her and bestfriend Queena Filart who got mistaken as her new boyfriend.

    A mass was held at the Christ The King Church attended by AJ's family, girlfriend Steph, friends, fellow Star Magic artists and more.

Albie Casiño OUT of Kathryn-Julia movie?

    Albie Casiño is reportedly OUT of the new Star Cinema movie which stars Mara Clara's Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes.But according to Star Cinema, Albie Casiño, who's well-loved by the viewers as Christian on Mara Clara, will still be Kathryn's leading man in the new movie, as reported tonight on TV Patrol amidst rumors that Albie has been removed from the cast already.

    Reportedly, Albie Casiño was removed from the cast because of his recent controversy with ex-girlfriend Andi Eigenmann who Albie described on Formspring as a cheater. (Read: "Andi is a cheater - Albie Casiño via Formspring")

    KathBie (Kathryn-Albie) fans will be the "unhappiest" to hear if it's true, but thanks, it's not true at all.

    It would be a bad idea to remove Albie from the movie. His loveteam with Kathryn also contributed to why Mara Clara became a top-rating soap on primetime TV and definitely it will continue in the movies.

    The said movie, which is directed by Jerry Lopez Sineneng replacing Cathy Garcia-Molina, will be Albie's first movie.

    AJ Perez, who died last month in a vehicular accident, was supposed to be Julia Montes' leading in the movie. He's fellow Gigger Boys member Sam Concepcion is reportedly taking over the role.

MMK "Tsinelas" feat. AJ Perez, highest-rating MMK episode in 2011

    MMK's April 30 episode entitled "Tsinelas" which featured late actor AJ Perez with c in his last acting portrayal posted a very high nationwide rating of 34.3%, to become the top-rating program that day.

    Kantar Media / TNS rating figures for MMK episodes this 2011 so far show that AJ Perez's episode was also the highest-rating MMK episode this year.

    It was able to beat the record made by MMK April 2 episode which featured the life story of Jovit Baldivino and had 33.2% rating.

    Our wish that AJ Perez' MMK episode will top the ratings chart has been granted. Our next target: an acting nominations for AJ Perez and even Bugoy Carino for their effective portrayal in the said MMK episode. Let's all wish for that.

    AJ Perez' MMK episode entitled "Tsinelas", his last MMK appearance, was certainly among the most-watched episodes of the Philippines' longest-running drama anthology program.

    No rating figures yet, but the fact that AJ Perez and MMK were among the Top 10 trending topics on Twitter during its airing, not only in the Philippines but also worldwide, was enough proof that many people tuned in to watch AJ's last acting portrayal.

    The hashtag #ajperezmmk was the first to trend at 8PM, and then "MMK" followed an hour later.

    #ajperezmmk was the #1 trending topic in the Philippines (Yeah, it was #1. Ignore that promoted #NFLDraft term) and then the phrase "Watching MMK" also made it as a trending topic peaking at #6.


    In the worldwide trends, #ajperezmmk peaked at #2 and then MMK ranked 8th.

    #ajperezmmk was able to trend worldwide for 2 hours.

    It's been a long time since a term or terms related to MMK trended worldwide on Twitter. I think the last time was during Coco Martin's MMK appearance in November6, 2010. Coco Martin, who played a star witness with a mental disability in that episode, was among Twitter's trending topics during that time.

    AJ PEREZ' FAMILY AND GF THANKFUL FOR THE SUPPORT
    AJ Perez' younger brother Gello was actively posting on Twitter via (@gelloperez) before and during the airing of AJ's MMK episode.

    Before it aired, he tweeted: "Let's make my brother's mmk high rated! STAY TUNED! =)))"

    And the moment #ajperezmmk made it as among the top trending topics, he immediately thanked the fans on behalf of the Perez family. "Thank you guys so much for making #ajperezmmk one of the popular topics in twitter!!!! The Perez family is sooo thankful! =)"

    He later posted how proud he was for his Kuya. "So proud of my brother @ajperez17! He is such a great actor! #ajperezmmk."

    Just like Gello, AJ Perez' girlfriend Steph Ayson also making tweets about AJ and his MMK episode:

    @stephayson: "In the process of making MMK, AJ made me promise him I'd watch. He was so proud of his last work. I'm keeping my promise. #AJPEREZMMK"

    And then she later tweeted a photo of her and friend Raymond Canteras, who's also AJ's friend, classmate and basketball teammate at La Salle Green Hills. According to Steph, it was Raymond who introduced her to AJ.

AJ Perez' Maalala Mo Kaya (MMK) episode, to break rating records

    AJ Perez will touch our hearts this Saturday, April 30, with his Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK) episode, which is already his last acting portrayal and TV appearance, after he died in a car accident April 17.

    And according to the MMK episode director Dado Lumibao, it's definitely AJ Perez' greatest performance as an actor.

    The teaser for MMK's April 30 episode featuring AJ Perez and Bugoy Carino has been shown many times already and I really have goosebumps everytime it's being shown. It's already making me cry.

    It's only a teaser, but you can already say that AJ did an amazing job there as an actor. And truly, he will make us cry with his last MMK episode, so be prepared for that.

    A lot of people are already anticipating AJ's MMK appearance. And it's already being expected to rate so high in the ratings. With our help, AJ Perez' MMK episode could be the highest-rating episode of MMK this 2011.

Gigger Boys minus AJ Perez: What's next for them?

    The Gigger Boys were rarely seen together, with all its members complete on TV and in mall shows, even before AJ Perez' death because of their conflicting schedules and no enough time to rehearse together.

    That explains why AJ Perez had 2 out-of-town shows away from the Gigger Boys before he died because some other members were busy with other commitments.

    And the last time the Gigger Boys were almost complete (including two of its original members, Dino Imperial and Chris Gutierrez) was during Empress Schuck's 18th birthday celebration on ASAP Rocks last February 20.

    Candymag.com was able to take a video of the Gigger Boys that day while they were inside the dressing room, in their playful and happy mood:

    And now that AJ is gone, the Gigger Boys will never be complete. As what other people are saying, the Gigger Boys won't be the same without AJ Perez.

    Is it over for the Gigger Boys? Or they should continue the group for the love of AJ?

AJ Perez Funeral Video | Interment Coverage by GMA 7

    GMA 7's 24 Oras was able to do an amazing coverage of AJ Perez burial even if AJ Perez was not a Kapuso or among the network's homegrown talents.

    It just goes to show that AJ Perez interment / funeral was not exclusive to ABS-CBN.

    Aside from GMA, news teams from TV5 and RPN9 were also spotted covering AJ's burial.

    In its report, GMA was able to interview Kapamilya talents Patrick Sugui, who was AJ's classmate from De La Salle Green Hills, and Arron Villaflor, AJ's friend and fellow Gigger Boys member.

    Watch the video report last night from GMA's 24 Oras of AJ Perez' burial which held Tuesday morning, April 26, 2011.

    During the burial in the morning, some fans of AJ Perez already appreciated GMA's effort to report about the burial at the Manila Memorial Park, most especially that there was no full live coverage from AJ's home network, ABS-CBN.

    In fact, GMA's Flash Report that morning was ahead of ABS-CBN's News Patrol in reporting that AJ Perez's remains already arrived at the Manila Memorial Park, supported by a live video feed and live report from its field reporter Julius Segovia.

    AJ Perez' girlfriend Steph Ayson delivered a heartbreaking and touching eulogy at AJ's wake last night, April 25, at Christ The King Parish.

    Steph shared that she and AJ first met in September 2007, met again in 2009 and officially became "on" in February 14, 2010, 3 days before AJ's 17th birthday.

    Here's Steph's Eulogy, transcript courtesy of Yahoo! OMG! Philippines:

    "I want to be a teacher, a lawyer, and suddenly a doctor. I want to be able to write well, to sing well, and to dance well. All of those changed except one. I knew I want to marry a guy. And his name was AJ Perez."

    "I was a silly girl, writing our names beside each other. I was scribbling hearts and playing Flames and I would wake up every Saturday just to watch "Abt Ur Luv." I would sit in front of the TV and watch ASAP. I was a fan and I would like to think I was the biggest fan he had."

    "Cheesy, but that's AJ. Cheesy, sweet, sincere. He wanted to promise me the world, but I asked him not to. Because I was too afraid to hurt him, but he promised anyway, and he kept each one of them. He asked for my full trust. I admitted I was having a difficulty, but showed me that he knows what trust means and he'll never do anything to break that."

    "He told me that even if I don't say 'I love you' back away or show him sweetness just like he would, his exact words were, 'I would wait a lifetime.'"

    "If this is God's way of showing me forever, I accept it... AJ taught me how to love. He was very selfless. His love was the most pure thing on Earth. It was, in every way, unconditional. And probably that's the message here. He wants all of us to love the way he did also."

    "He made me so happy, and even to his last day, he would talk to me and tell me that 'I want you always to be happy. I don't want you sad. I want you to smile a lot. You know why? Because I love you.' And I know as the days go by it will be very difficult but AJ would say he'd want us to be happy. That's the way he lived. He was happy."

    "To my baby, you'll always be in my heart. Thank you for making my dreams come true. I'll take care of your family for you. And I'll love the way you loved me."

    Many expected that Steph would share in the eulogy the letter that AJ wrote to her before he died. It's not the "letter to future girlfriend" which was published on Candy Magazine in October 2007, but it was a handwritten letter by AJ to Steph, but unfortunately, she's not sharing it to anyone. Let's just leave it to the two of them.

    On Twitter, Steph shared a link to a Youtube video containing her photos with boyfriend AJ Perez and said: "Found this video. Thank you so much to the person who made this. :)"

AJ Perez' Funeral Photos and Videos: AJ laid to rest today

    AJ Perez was laid to rest today, April 26, 2011, at the Manila Memorial Park.

    Before the burial, a mass was held first at 9 AM, officiated by Fr. Tito Caluag at Christ The King Parish in Greenmeadows, Quezon City.

    At 10:30 AM, AJ's remains were then brought to the Manila Memorial Park in Paranaque City where fans of AJ have gathered as early as 9 AM to say goodbye to their idol.

    Celebs spotted at the funeral were Sam Milby, Jessy Mendiola, Gab Valenciano, Melissa Ricks, Helga Krapf, Joseph Marco and more.

    It was kinda disappointing that ABS-CBN Channel 2 had no live coverage of AJ Perez' burial, and Kapamilya viewers had to satisfy themselves with News Patrol Updates. GMA 7 on one hand also provided live updates of the burial via its Flash Report.

    ABS-CBN reporter Gretchen Fullido, who will be reporting about the burial later on TV Patrol, shared on her Twitter account (@gretchenfullido) some pictures from the funeral:

Rico Yan - AJ Perez resemblance in new photo

    Rico Yan and AJ Perez, they say, had many similarities.

    Mykiru blogged about those similarities hours after AJ died, but I was actually not totally convinced if they really looked like each other. Maybe the smiles, yes, and it was just pure co-incidence that Rico Yan and AJ Perez were both from La Salle and they both died young.

    But I'm fully convinced now that AJ Perez indeed looked like Rico Yan when I saw this newly-released photo of AJ Perez for Gold's Gym. Look closely, AJ looked so much like Rico here. Notice the eyes and the smiles.

    Definitely, that photo above is the best proof that they were like siblings who resembled each other.

    The photo above came from Ms. Mylene Mendoza-Dayrit, Gold's Gym CEO and also a PhilStar columnist, and according to her, it will be Gold's Gym ad this coming Monday on The Philippine Star.

    AJ's Gold Gym photo above was shot in 2010, but only released just now as Gold's Gym pays tribute to AJ on The Philippine Star this Monday.

    Gold's Gym will also be releasing more never-before-seen pictures of AJ Perez.

AJ Perez Burial on April 26: Live streaming on ABS-CBN

    AJ Perez Burial is set this April 26, at the Manila Memorial Park in Parañaque City.


    ABS-CBN, AJ Perez' home network, will do live coverage of the burial which will happen at 10 AM on Tuesday.

    Before the burial, a 9AM mass will be held at the Christ The King Parish where AJ's wake was being held since Tuesday.

    Everyone's hoping that ABS-CBN will also have a live streaming of the burial online via its official site, so that AJ Perez's fans abroad will be able to watch it live.

    To the fans who plan to attend AJ Perez' burial, AJ's family said on Twitter (@ajperez17) that you just have to go straight there at the Manila Memorial Park. "Update on AJ's burial: For Aj's interment at Apr 26, there's a 9AM mass @Christ the king. For fans, just proceed to Manila Memorial, Parañaque at around 10AM."

    Manila Memorial Park is also where Rico Yan was buried in April 4, 2002.

    During Rico's burial, ABS-CBN dedicated 6 hours of its programming time just to give live coverage of the burial.

    AJ Perez' wake is still being held at the Christ The King Parish in Greenmeadows, Libis and it's still open for public viewing.

    AJ Perez' loveteam with Lauren Young is definitely one of the many things that we're gonna miss from AJ, now that he's gone to be with our Creator.

    The loveteam of AJ Perez and Lauren Young started when they played Josh and Nelle in the youth-oriented weekly program "Star Magic Presents: Abt Ur Luv" in 2006.

    Their loveteam was called AjRen, and it continued in 3 more shows, the latest was the "Your Song Presents: Underage" in 2009.

    I was browsing videos of AJ Perez on Youtube, when I come across a video of him and Lauren, a compilation of their sweet and kilig moments in "Abt Ur Luv".

    And I love watching it over and over again...

    Nakaka-miss no?

    Recently, the two were given big breaks on TV away from the loveteam. AJ was cast as the male lead in "Sabel" while Lauren was given the lead role as Via in "Mula Sa Puso".

    But the possibility of being paired up again was gone when AJ died last Sunday.

    Upon learning AJ's death, Lauren posted this message to her former loveteam partner on Twitter:
    “AJ, you were like a brother to me. You'll always be in my heart. May you rest in peace. I'm going to miss you so much. My loveteam, my friend, my brother. All I know is you're in a better place now and I won't question that.”
