In two months period, GMA 7 has launched three new shows for its primetime block, but none of them registered above 40% pilot ratings in Mega Manila, unlike its previous 2008 shows such as Dyesebel and Codename: Asero.
La Lola debuted last October 13 and had 35.8% first episode ratings, then followed by Gagambino with a pilot ratings of 34.5% a week after.
Last Monday, another primetime TV series entitled Luna Mystika, starring Heart Evangelista, premiered with a slightly higher 38.9% initial ratings.
The figure is still considered impressive as it is one of the Top 5 Highest Pilot Ratings for a GMA 7 Primetime TV Series in the last three years.
Luna Mystika has taken the timeslot left by Codename: Asero, which ended last Friday with a finale ratings of 32.5%, a number considered as one of the worst last episode ratings of GMA 7 in the last three years.
It is now alarming for the Kapuso Network as it could no longer achieve nor sustain the 40-plus ratings that it used to have since Mulawin days in 2004.
