'Harry Potter' brings charms in the US Box Office



    Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix hauled in a total of $140M since its debut last Wednesday, July 11th, until the weekends. Out of the $140M, $77.4 of which was generated during the weekends, Friday until Saturday.

    No other new releases penetrated the Top 10. The movie "Captivity" landed only at #12.

    1. "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," $77.4 million.
    2. "Transformers," $36 million.
    3. "Ratatouille," $18 million.
    4. "Live Free or Die Hard," $10.9 million.
    5. "License to Wed," $7.4 million.
    6. "1408," $5.01 million.
    7. "Evan Almighty," $5 million.
    8. "Knocked Up," $3.7 million.
    9. "Sicko," $2.65 million.
    10. "Ocean's Thirteen," $1.9 million.

    An update of the Worldwide All-time Box Office as of July 13, 2007....
    Pirates 3 is now at #5 while Spider-Man 3 has enterred the Top 10. Great achievement for Spider-Man 3, for it is able to surpass Spider-Man 1 & 2's ranking. Pirates 3 still has to overtake Pirates 2 which is at #3.
    Shrek the Third climbs up to 30th spot.
