Vũ Thi Hoàng Điep representing Vietnam won the title of Miss International Beauty 2009 during the world finals held on Saturday, August 01, in Daqing, China.Vu Hoang Diep, age 22 and a model from Hanoi, also awarded Miss Talent and Miss Bikini 2nd Runner Up.
It marks the first ever international pageant title for Vietnam by a female candidate.
Last November, Ngo Tien Doan gave first ever international pageant title to Vietnam when he won as Mister International 2007.
Meanwhile, the Miss Global Beauty Queen 2009, which has been merged with the Miss International Beauty 2009, has crowned pageant veteran Miss Thailand Wongbuntree Vasana.She also won as Miss Photogenic, Miss Internet Popularity 1st Runner Up and Miss Body Beautiful 1st Runner Up.
Wongbuntree was Miss Photogenic and a semi-finalist during the Miss International 2006 pageant, Miss Young International 2007 titleholder and 1st Runner Up at the Miss Tourism Queen International 2007.
