Lara Quigaman 's Cinco gown, precious "underwear flash" become controversial

Precious Lara Quigaman's red striking gown during the Binibining Pilipinas 2011 pageant night held last week has become a controversial issue (a pageant scandal) and is still being talked about up to now because of the gown's unique design (the slit) and the so-called "underwear flash".



People are debating if it was appropriate or inappropriate.

According to those who believe it's just appropriate, they see nothing wrong with Precious Lara Quigaman's "underwear flash" because the undergarment, which was reportedly made of precious gems, was part of the gown's design.

But for those who deemed it inappropriate, the fact that Precious Lara was a former Binibining Pilipinas titlist and also an ex-Miss International already makes the gown inappropriate for her. According to them, Precious Lara should not wear such kind of outfit as she is supposed to set a good example to the new beauty queens.

The gown was designed by Michael Cinco, who's currently making waves as couture designer on America's Next Top Model Cycle 16.

Dianne Necio, Binibining Pilipinas International 2011

Bicolana beauty Dianne Elaine Necio has finally won a Binibining Pilipinas title.



Last night, Dianne Necio won as Binibining Pilipinas-International 2011, a year after she finished 1st Runner Up during the Binibining Pilipinas 2010 pageant.

If last year she represented Iriga City, Dianne represented Polangui, Albay this year and she won.

Dianne stands 5'5 1/2" and turned 19 just last month.

A pageant veteran, she has joined 4 pageants in Bicol before joinining Binibining Pilipinas. She was Miss Tabak 2009, Miss Iriga 2009, 1st Runner Up in Miss Bicolandia 2009 and 2nd Runner Up to the late Melody Gershbach in the 2009 Mutya ng Magayon pageant.

Another pride of Bicol (Philippines' beauty capital), Dianne has successfully continued the winning streak of Bicolana beauties in Binibining Pilipinas which started when Melody won as Binibining Pilipinas International in 2009 and then Venus Raj as Binibining Pilipinas Universe 2010.

(Former "Binibini" titlists Miriam Quiambao and Precious Lara Quigaman, who happen to be Bicolanas too and were among the hosts last night, probably brought some luck to Dianne.)

Bicolana titlists usually fare well in international pageants. Melody, Venus, Miriam and Precious all entered the semis (Precious even won title) when they competed internationally. Dianne definitely should also achieve that when she competes in China this October for the Miss International 2011 pageant.

Dianne is also the girlfriend of PBB Teen Clash 2010 ex-housemate and "Mutya" actor Jovic Susim.

Judge: What is your biggest accomplishment to date? And what is your biggest goal in the next 12 months?

Dianne: "My greatest achievement was winning last year in Binibining Pilipinas as 1st Runner Up and my goal is to win in this competition one of the crowns and hopefully bring home the crown from international pageant. Thank you."

Miss Venezuela Ana Elizabeth Mosquera crowned Miss International 2010

Miss Venezuela Ana Elizabeth Mosquera Gomez has just been crowned Miss
International 2010 earlier tonight, November 7, at the Sichuan Province Gymnasium in Chengdu, China.



Elizabeth is only 19 years old and becomes the 6th Venezuelan to win the Miss International crown.

Venezuela has won the title in 2006 and the crown goes back to them in just 4 years. It's also their 4th Ms. Int'l crown within 10 years. Wow! They've won the title in 1985, 1997, 2000, 2003 and 2006.

Though I'm kinda disappointed that top favorites Philippines and Japan didn't even end up at least as runner-up, Venezuela's victory was just fine because she's also a big favorite.

In fact, on Mykiru's list of favorites, Venezuela was 3rd and the official Top 15 were also generally favourable because they're all part of Mykiru's Top 30 Favorites.

There's nothing much surprising on this year's pageant except that Miss China was highly favored and was secured with a 2nd Runner Up placement. Reminds me of what happened at the Miss World 2010 last week where China also placed higher than the major faves.

Vanessa Goncalves is Miss Venezuela 2010, to compete in Miss Universe 2011

Venezuela, the #1 beauty powerhouse in the world, has just crowned Vanessa Andrea Goncalves Gomez as Miss Venezuela 2010 who will represent the country in Miss Universe 2011.



Representing Miranda, Vanessa was also awarded Best Body. She's 24 years old and works as a dentist.


Miss Amazonas Ivian Lunasol Sarcos Colmenares meanwhile won the title Miss Venezuela World 2010 as well as the Most Beautiful Face award. She's 21 years old and is taking up International Studies.


The Miss Venezuela International 2010 title went to 23-year-old Law student Jessica Cristina Barboza Schmidt. She was Venezuela's rep in the Miss Earth 2009 pageant held here in the Philippines where she won Miss Earth - Water or 2nd Runner Up.

18-year-old Caroline Medina, the candidate from Aragua, was selected to compete in Miss Earth 2011. She also won as Miss Photogenic.

Krista Kleiner Photo Scandal: She kissed a girl!

Binibining Pilipinas-International 2010 Krista Arietta Kleiner aka Krissa Mae is said to have scandal photos circulating online.

In one photo, Krista is embracing a Latino-looking lad while in another photo, she's pictured with 3 other girls in skimpy outfit.

Another picture shows Krista kissing another girl.

But judging the photos, I don't find them racy and scandalous.

Take a look and you judge for yourself if they really are:






The said photos were found posted at a thread in Missosology Forum last August 28 and then later on the Facebook Page "Monique Lhuillier for Venus Raj Campaign" even using the kissing photo as the primary picture.

On her official Facebook Page, Krista said that the photos were taken from a dance show and she believes that some people are using it in a campaign to get her dethroned. She appealed to other Facebook users to report the said Facebook Page.

"FRIENDS!!! please report the Facebook user "Monique Lhuillier for Venus Raj campaign" for trying to start ridiculous campaign to get me dethroned by using a picture from a dance show and other private photos that they took from my Facebook & making false accusations that I am dethroned. Please repost on your page also if possible. Thank you!" Krista posted on Facebook.

Beauty Queen Melody Gersbach dead in car accident

Filipino-German beauty titlist Melody Adelheid Gersbach has died in a horrible car accident today, August 21, 2010.



I'm actually having a hard time blogging about this 'coz I love her a lot.

A fellow Bicolano, Melody was going to Naga City this morning when the accident happened.

According to ABS-CBN News, Melody with make-up artist / fashion designer Alden Orense and two others were on their way from Melody's hometown in Albay to Naga City when their car collided with a passenger bus going to Legazpi City.

The crash happened at Sitio Banasi, Brgy. Pawili, Bula, Camarines Sur, that's 15 minutes away from the famous CamSur Watersports Complex (CWC) and 30 minutes away from Naga City, where she was about to judge in the screening of applicants for the Peñafrancia Festival's Miss Bicolandia 2010.

The report said that she was also about to meet her boyfriend in Naga City. Gersbach, Orense and the driver were dead on the spot while the other is in critical condition.

Melody Gersbach was only 24 years old and she died on the day the Philippines is commemorating the 26th Death Anniversary of National Hero Ninoy
Aquino.

Melody was Mutya ng Magayon 2008, Miss Bicolandia 2008 and Binibining Pilipinas-International 2009. She won those titles in just less than a year. (More Pictures of Melody)

She later competed in the Miss International 2009 pageant held in China where she was a huge favorite and placed as a Top 15 semifinalist.

Just this year, Melody was about to be in a love triangle with Aga Muhlach and Ai-Ai delas Alas on ABS-CBN's sitcom "M3: Malay Mo Madevelop". She already did a pictorial with Aga and Ai, but for an unclear reason, Melody's appearance in the show didn't push through.

Last May, Melody participated in the BPCI's Grand Santacruzan at the Araneta Center and just last August 2, she attended the send-off party for Miss Philippines Universe 2010 Maria Venus Raj. It was already her last time to take part in a Binibining Pilipinas event.

You'll forever be remembered Melody.

Krista Arrieta Kleiner, Binibining Pilipinas-International 2010

TV personality Krista Mae Arrieta Kleiner or more popularly known as Krissa Mae has been crowned Binibining Pilipinas-International 2010 last night.

Aside from the title, she also won as Best in Swimsuit and Best in Talent.

Born on June 12, 1989 in Orange County, California, Krista is now 20 years old, stands 5'10.5 and vital stats are 36-26-36.

A Psychology graduate at the University of California San Diego, Krissa Mae started her modeling career in the US. She even joined Miss USA-Philippines Expo 2007 and easily won the title.

She later moved to the Philippines and appeared on a number of TV shows in the country like 'Gobingo', 'Obra', 'Gagambino', 'SOP' and 'Darna', all on GMA Network.

Krista is currently in relationship with RnB Prince Jay-R Sillona who was there during the coronation night to support her. She also dated actor Polo Ravales.

This October, she'll be in China to compete for the Miss International 2010 title.

Except for the surprising Binibining Pilipinas-World winner, I'm generally happy because I exactly got again 2 of the 3 titleholders, just like in 2007 and 2009. I wonder why they let go of the 6 footer Ruais. It could have been acceptable if Henson snatched one of the 3 major titles.

It's nice to know that two Bicolanas (Raj and Necio) ended in the Top 5. Necio was only a runner up to Candidate #3 Patrixia Sherly Santos during the Miss Bicolandia 2009 pageant. Santos missed the cut in Binibining Pilipinas 2010 but Necio finished as 1st Runner Up.

Binibining Pilipinas 2010 Results Predictions

Mykiru Isyusero reveals its fearless predictions for the Binibining Pilipinas 2010 Grand Coronation Night happening Saturday night, March 6, at the Araneta Coliseum.

It's actually hard to predict this year's winners because it's definitely a strong batch of candidates that most of them are lovely and crown-worthy.

Mykiru correctly guessed 2 of the 3 titleholders during the 2007 and 2009 pageants. We'll see if it still happens this year...

Binibining Pilipinas 2010 candidates announced

After 2 screenings, the 24 official candidates of Binibining Pilipinas 2010 have been presented to the press earlier today.

Just like Margaret Wilson (Binibining Pilipinas-World '07) and Rich Asuncion (Binibining Pilipinas '09 1st RU), another Kapuso actress is joining the pageant this year.

Krista Arrieta Kleiner aka Krissa Mae (photo) is one of the official candidates & currenty leads early favorites. She first shot to fame as "Gobingo Girl" & eventually appeared in shows like Obra, Gagambino & most recently, Darna. She was also Ms USA-Phil 2008.

Also making it are beauties who already represented the Philippines in an international pageant in Malaysia. They are Ana Marie Morelos, Miss Tourism International 2007 4th Runner Up and Jam Charish Libatog, a semifinalist in the 2008 pageant. Morelos & Libatog were actually Mutya ng Pilipinas-Tourism winners.

Other "cross-over" candidates are Mariella Castillo (Miss Bikini Philippines 2009 1st RU), Laica Joy Jimenez (Mutya ng Pilipinas '08 contestant), Ma. Venus Raj (Miss Philippines Earth-Eco Tourism '08), Reina Mae Maerina (Miss Philippines Earth '09 candidate), Angelica 'Angel' Damian (Mutya ng Pilipinas '08 candidate) & Kate Princess Alimurong (Mutya ng Pilipinas '07 Top 15 semifinalist).

Mossimo Bikini Summit '09 1st Runner Up Rachel Ann Bustamante & Century Tuna Superbods '09 People's Choice winner Patricia Ejercitado are also among the candidates.
