Chris Kayzer lost to Gian Magdangal of Philippine Idol for the Best Performance by a New Male Recording Artist award, but he won the hearts of texters by winning People's Choice Favorite New Male Artist.
The group Kamikazee snatched the most number of awards. The band won Album of the Year for "Maharot", Best Rock, Best Performance by a Group Artist and Song of the Year for "Narda" (as expected), and Music Video of the Year for "Martyr Nyebera".
Gary Valenciano had the most number of nominations (with 8), but he managed to take home only three awards. Kamikazee had 6 nominations, and won 5 of them. They had two nominations in one category, so that means, they managed to win all of the categories they're nominated in.
