Aria Clemente (middle), a finalist in Little Big Superstar in ABS-CBN, was declared the Over-all Junior Grand Champion Performer in the World in the 11th World Championships Of Performing Arts (WCOPA 2007), aside from being the Grand Champion Junior Vocalist of the World 2007, beating almost 100 contestants from other countries. Aria's achievement has the same weight with that of Jed Madela (left) 2005 where he was also the Over-all Grand Champion Performer, only that it was in the Senior Division. Jed though competed in different categories, counting to 6 not just only in the Vocal Solo category, and he managed to win them all.
Aside from Aria, another Filipino contender Reymond Sajor (right) of the Philippine Idol was declared the Grand Champion Senior Vocalist of the World 2007.
Both Aria and Reymond were eliminated so early in Little Big Superstar and Philippine Idol respectively, but they turned out to be more deserving and bigger winners than the grand champions of those Filipino reality shows.
Top-rank Pinoy model Iago Raterta and Born Diva grand winner Raki Vega were also grand finalists as well in the modelling and vocal solo categories respectively.
Aria Clement won over grand finalists Tyler Carnie of South Africa, Ashleigh Hale Durham of New Zealand, Delze Nancis of Trinidad and Tobago, and David Kazasyan of Russia.
Reymond Sajor has beaten grand finalists Carmen Pretorius and Kay Alleyne of South Africa, Renet Desir of Haiti and (teammate) Raki Vega of the Philippines.
Iago Raterta competed against Dylan Koroll and Troy James of Canada, Rob Walcher of USA (Patricia Javier's husband), Daniel Martinez of USA and Tyrone Davis of Jamaica for the male model Grand Champion of the World title. The grand champion for this category is yet to be known. (I still have to know who the winner is in this category).
The 11th World Championships Of Performing Arts was held from July 28th to August 04 in Los Angeles, California.
