*Dr. Hayden Kho, Jr., which was one of my first features here in MYKIRU, is one of the contestants for the Philippine edition of Simon Cowell's Celebrity Duets, which will premiere on August 11 in GMA 7.
I don't understand why the only description being given to him for the show, as I've read on different articles, is that he's Dra. Vicky Belo's boyfriend. Even on wikipedia, he's described there as such. Is that a promotion for Belo Medical Group? or just to tell the world that they have a relationship and they're very open about it? To go with the flow, I actually made my post's title in relation to it.
Hayden will compete against other celebrities like:
Bb. Pilipinas-Universe 2007 and Miss Photogenic in Miss Universe 2007 Ana Theresa Licaros;
socialites and fashion icons Tessa Prieto-Valdez and Tim Yap;
surgeon to the stars Dr. Manny Calayan;
talent managers Jessica Rodriguez and Wyngard Tracy;
and fashion designer Frederick Peralta.
Each one of them will be paired with any of the following: Pilita Corrales, Freddie Aguilar, Agot Isidro, Ely Buendia, Rico J. Puno, Marco Sison, Kyla, Rey Valera at Jaya. With this list of singers, well I don't know how they will make it appealing and more interesting. Hayden , I guess, is to be paired with Kyla no less. I've heard, they'd be singing with different singers week after week, just like in the American version.
I hope they'd also target younger audiences, not just the mature ones.
