Sean Kingston "no show" at YOG Opening Ceremony

Singer Sean Kingston was supposed to sing "Everyone", the Youth Olympic Games (YOG) theme song, at the opening ceremony held last night but he didn't show up.

In a press release by the YOG committee, Sean Kingston's flight was delayed thus failing to arrive in time for the opening ceremony.

But there are reports that the real reason why Kingston, the singer of the hit single "Beautiful Girls", failed to come is because the YOG committee and Kingston's camp had a disagreement with regards to the talent fee.

On Twitter, Sean Kingston issued a statement, apologizing to his Singapore and at first, he didn't tell the very reason why he wasn't able to attend the YOG Opening Ceremony. "Due to circumstances beyond my control I was unable to attend the opening ceremonies for the 2010 Youth Olympics in Singapore. I sincerely apologized to all the fans who were expecting to see me...I will try my best to make it up to you all soon as possible, God bless," he said.

His next tweet has implied something about the possible reason, the talent fee: "This music industry is allbusiness but I refuse to let my singapore fans suffer. I LOVE U ALL And trust me BEING Apart Of The YOG Ment A lot." That's the exact tweet. Notice the misspellings and the odd way of tweeting it. Maybe he was sleepy already or had a lil drink when he posted that.

Good thing though that the YOG theme song "Everyone" is a collaboration, leaving four other singers to perform it at the YOG Opening Ceremony amd they were: Jody Williams from Africa, Steve Appleton from Europe, Jessica Mauboy from Oceania and Tabitha Nauser from Asia.

Sean Kingston was supposed to represent the Americas.
