Miss World 2008 postponed; Pageant moved from Ukraine to South Africa

Parvathy Omanakuttan will represent India in the 2008 Miss World.

Due to the fear that Russian military force will shift its attention from Georgia to Ukraine, the 58th Miss World pageant, which was supposed to be held in Kiev, Ukraine from September 04, 2008, has been moved to Johannesburg, South Africa this November.

Contestants arrival starts on November 16th and the finals night for the Miss World 2008 beauty pageant is now slated on December 12, 2008 at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa.
