Ace comedian Michael V. was surprised to receive his first ever "Best Actor" award during the 1st MTRCB TV Awards held Friday night, September 4, at the Cinema 5 of Gateway Mall.
It was a first, because there's no "Comedy" in the award. Bitoy had won numerous Best Comedy Actors, both in local and in the internationally.
In fact, he's a two-time Asian TV Awardee as Best Comedy Actor.
Bea Alonzo, who did a comedic performance as Betty La Fea, won as Best Actress.
It seems like MTRCB has favored comedic roles rather than the typical drama roles, unlike in other award-giving bodies.
