For the fourth time, actress Anne Curtis Smith is gracing the cover of MEGA Magazine.
This February 2009, Anne Curtis will be the cover girl for the 17th anniversary special of MEGA Magazine.
The said issue is also a birthday treat for Anne who will be celebrating her 24th birthday on February 17.
MEGA Magazine admits that Anne is one of their favorite cover girls. The mag now tags Anne as an award-winning actress and a top endorser in the country.
Here's an excerpt from the MEGA's feature about Anne:
Seventeen years ago when MEGA first came out, Anne was only seven years old and living in Melbourne with her Australian dad James Curtis Smith and Filipina mom Carmencita Ojales. Little did she know that a trip to Jollibee while vacationing in Manila at age 13 would change the course of her life. The combination of her mixed racial features—full lips, slender nose, softly defined jaw line, perfectly arched eyebrows, scintillating almond-shaped eyes, luscious black locks and radiant skin—landed her her first acting role as Princessa Dahlia in the fantasy film Magic Kingdom.
Those same features, which only became more enhanced as she got older, put her on her first MEGA cover in March 2006, her second in April 2007 and then her third in September last year. “Super happy,” Anne answers when asked how she felt to be one of MEGA’s favorite cover girls. “I’m always excited whenever I get to do a cover because I get to put on different looks.” She recounts the last shoot: “Super hot! But it was fun. I got to stand inside helicopters and pose beside the first presidential plane. I even took a peek inside the cabin.”
Another highlight in her career unfolded last December 27, 2008 at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Hotel. Anne received the biggest surprise and first major recognition of her acting career—a Best Actress trophy from the MMFF!
“The feeling is unexplainable. I’m speechless… I can’t fathom the
happiness that I feel,” she said.
