2009 Golden Globes winners

    Heath Ledger, who died in January 2008, received a posthumous award in the 66th Golden Globe Awards held Sunday night, January 11, 2009 at the Beverly Hills in California, USA.

    He was honored Best Supporting Actor for his remarkable role as Joker in 'The Dark Knight'.

    Prior to the Golden Globes 2009, Heath already won Best Supporting Actor in the Broadcast Film Critics Association Awards 2008. Australian Film Institute Awards also honored him as Best International Actor and a Best Actor award from GQ Australia Men of the Year Awards. All these were for the same role in 'The Dark Knight'.

    Meanwhile, Kate Winslet were nominated in two categories for her two movies, and she won them both.
