Youtube sensation Charice Pempengco has topped Google Philippines' list of Top 10 Most Searched Celebrities in the country for 2008.
She is closely followed by another Youtube star Arnel Pineda.
Taiwan's Wu Chun, star of Hana Kimi and had a short visit in the Philippines last August, is at #7 while controversial actress Marian Rivera is ranked 10th.
This time, Marian has scored higher than Angel Locsin, who was the most searched female actress in the Philippines last year.
In Google News (Philippines), it's a knockout victory for Manny Pacquiao.
This 2008, Charice and Manny Pacquiao are the only celebrities from the Philippines who managed to penetrate global Google Searches (www.google.com) at least for a particular day. Charice was in Top 100 (53rd) last September 19 when she guested on Oprah while Manny was Top 33 last December 6, the day he destroyed Oscar de la Hoya in the ring.
