For the Year 2008
Obviously, Sarah Geronimo's A Very Special Love is the hottest song of 2008 as it both topped the Pinoy MYX Countdown, an OPM hits chart, and the MYX Hit Chart, a countdown of the most requested local and international songs.
Sarah Geronimo and Rico Blanco are the only solo artists from the Philippines to penetrate this year's over-all Top 20.
It's the 4th consecutive year for Hale and SpongeCola to make it in the 5-year old year-end countdown while a third consecutive time for both Sarah Geronimo and Callalily.
Last year, there were 15 OPM and 5 foreign songs in the MYX Hit Chart but this time around, the ratio is 11:9 still in favor of the OPM songs.
