Soccer superstar David Beckham has topped the list of Top 49 Men 2007 Edition by Askmen.com.
The list should not be mistaken as a ranking of sexiest men or the most beautiful men of 2007. The top 49 Men are ranked as the manliest men of 2007 and are believed to the best representatives of the male human species. Or probably, they're rated for their accomplishments this year.
According to Askmen.com, David Beckham is this year's #1 because of his being $250-million man when he moved to play for the Los Angeles Galaxy as well as his incredible talent, English charm, slick haircuts and stylish wardrobe.
Beckham was at #8 during the 1st (2006) edition of Top 49 Men List, where George Clooney was the #1 man. For 2007, the two men switch places, with Clooney ranking on the 7th ot 8th spot.
Other than being the 2007 Top Man, David Beckham has numerous achievements for 2007. He was also the 7th Most Marketable Athlete Five Years From Now by Sports Business Daily, #17 Most Influential People in Sports by BusinessWeek and the Sexiest Dad by Victoria's Secret.
