Manny 'Pacman' Pacquiao from the Philippines has defeated Ricky 'The Hitman' Hatton from the UK during their fight on May 2, 2009 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.Pacquiao has knocked Hatton out in the 2nd round, which has just added another sweet victory for Pacquiao and his countrymen.
Pacquiao's winning streak continues and his victory over Hatton marks his 49th win and 37th knockout victory.
As for Hatton, it was his 2nd loss.
Truly, Pacquiao is the undisputed pound-for-pound boxer in the world today. He is now the IBO Light welterweight and Ring Magazine Junior Welterweight champion.
No one ever expected that the Pacquiao vs Hatton fight would wrap up so fast. Most predictions had Hatton being knocked out in the 10th round.
With that, Pacquiao has become $12 million (or over half a billion pesos) richer.
