Mark Escueta and Jolina Magdangal engaged! (video of the announcement)

Rivermaya drummer Mark Escueta and singer-actress Jolina Magdangal are now engaged!

The wedding engagament was officially announced by Mark Escueta and Jolina Magdangal themselves last Sunday, June 5, 2011, on GMA 7's Party Pilipinas while Jolina was celebrating her 21st showbiz anniversary in the show.

Jolina performed first the Beatles song "With A Little Help From My Friends" along with Jaya, Kyla and Rachelle Ann Go then she was joined on stage by her closest friends Jan Marini Alano and Roselle Nava.

Ogie Alcasid and Janno Gibbs later joined them singing Rivermaya's "You'll Be Safe Here" and Mark Escueta made a grand entrance with a bouquet of flowers for his future wife.

Jolina is 32 years old while Mark is 35 years old.

On Ricky Lo's FUNFARE article last Sunday, the "pamamanhikan" was held last May 12 and Mark's romantic wedding proposal to Jolina happened on May 20 at a park in Tahanan Village, Parañaque City.

They're boyfriend-girlfriend for 2 years.

12 pairs of stars take on the "Puso ng Pasko: Artista Challenge"

"Puso ng Pasko Artista Challenge" will be replacing Survivor Philippines Celebrity Showdown which will air its grand finale on December 3, 2010.

Starting December 6 on GMA Telebabad, 12 pairs of celebrities will take on the challenge in "Puso ng Pasko", the 1st ever reality Krismaserye on Philippine TV.

They will all compete in various challenges and win for the 12 families and communities (1 for each pair). Over 5 million worth of prizes are at stake in the competition.

Original hosts of "Puso ng Pasko" were reportedly real-life lovers Dingdong Dantes-Marian Rivera and Drew Arellano-Iya Villania.

But we all know what happened to Iya right? She stayed with ABS-CBN, leaving Drew as host in the show.

Richard Gutierrez meanwhile was supposed to be one of the 12 challengers with Solenn Heussaff as his partner. But Chard eventually backed out. Why? (For sure, you guys could guess the reason why!).

On Showbiz Central yesterday, it was announced that the official hosts of Puso ng Pasko Artista Challenge are Drew Arellano, Rhian Ramos, Vicky Morales and Richard Gutierrez.

Husband-and-wife Cesar Montano and Sunshine Cruz are last-minute addition as one of the 12 pairs, taking over the slot of Richard & Solenn.

Sarah Geronimo NOT moving to GMA 7

Just because her Viva co-artists Rachelle Ann Go and Mark Bautista
have transferred to GMA 7 or the Kapuso network, Sarah Geronimo has also been rumored moving back to GMA.

Mark transferred in March, then Rachelle followed in April. After that, Sarah has been rumored to join them especially during the times
she's absent on ASAP XV just lately.

When in fact, Sarah was in the US and Canada for her Record Breaker concert series. The good news is, she's back on ASAP XV on July 04 and definitely, still a Kapamilya as the show will give her a monthlong birthday celebration.

Sarah already denied to ABS-CBN News last April that she was offered a 30million contract by GMA 7. She was actually clueless about it. Reportedly, Viva refused the offer
because they owe ABS-CBN a lot for making Sarah among the biggest stars today.

In July 2009, Sarah renewed her contract with ABS-CBN and I think it's valid until 2011.

Included in the contract are two teleseryes for her. It's impossible for her to transfer now because she hasn't started any teleserye yet, which ABS-CBN is obligated to give her and Sarah is also supposed to
do it.

One teleserye that Sarah is about to do is a "Glee-inspired" musical TV series with Sam Milby and Matteo Guidicelli. She's also set to do 2
movies with Star Cinema, one is a follow-up to her successful teamup
with John Lloyd Cruz which possibly could give her a 3rd Box Office Queen title.

If Viva is indeed planning to bring Sarah to the Kapuso network, I hope they will think of it a hundred times. As one fan said, "Tanga
