Ahmm I've lost contacts with my bestfriends.

Not open to the idea

Have You Been Fooled On April Fool's Day?

I've never experienced pratical jokes or being fooled during April Fool's Day. Probably, here in the Philippines, this special day is not as important as Christmas or Valentine's Day.

But in other countries, mostly European countries like France, Germany, Great Britain, Spain, Scotland, the Netherlands as well as in Australia, Canada and some states in the US, April Fool's Day is a big celebration and a great time to fool someone else.

One example of a popular April Fool's joke was when Chinese and Korean people were made to believe by some websites that multi-billionaire Bill Gates was assassinated as reported by CNN. Koreans panicked and caused 1.5% decrease in the Korean stock market.

Even Peter Jackson, the director of blockbuster hit King Kong, made a practical joke that King Kong movie will have a sequel with a title Son of Kong, to be starred by King Kong's son. Jackson was so believable that his production team rushed and made caricatures, drawings and computer animations for the movie, which was just a big big joke.

In ordinary situations, I have asked some ordinary people about being fooled on April 1.

And here's what I got from them:

"I saw an article in Sports Illustrated about a pitcher that threw 163 mph. I kept looking for the guy in the Mets lineup til someone told me it was an April Fools joke," philosofurrier

"Yeah lol my mom came up 2 me n said dad hung himself in the basement and i was like WWHAAAAAAAT? And then she said i was kiddin-he hung himself in the bathroom...," Niko

"my friend told me that wal-mart dont charge if u use your credit cards that one of the employer just told him that so he taught what a wonderful experince to share ,so i max out my card on grocerires for the month on to be suprised on how they flogged my head at the end of the month," combs

I also asked a few, how they would want to be fooled, one gave a serious answer like, "I would like to be told that 9/11 never happened, the war in Iraq never took place and that the world was really at peace," and one named Madame M wished a bunch of flowers with a big "Happy Birthday!" note attached (her birthday isn't until August). "I wouldn't mind thinking I'd won the lottery for a few minutes. Or someone setting my alarm clock an hour forward (and not getting upset when I got an extra hour of sleep). Or something goofy and silly, and meant with love. That's good, too," she said.

I, myself, don't want to be fooled so I have no reason to fool somebody else. But then again, I'm curious of what other people can say about it.

Mykiru's 100th Post: How Big Is Luis'?

I am so glad that for just barely a month, 24 days to be exact, my blog has found a niche of its own on the internet.

And now, I am writing my 100th post. I could not imagine that my blog had 99 posts already considering that it's on for only 24 days.

Well, it is you, my visitors and friends in the whole world, who inspire me to present to you only the best, and nothing but the best of items that would be of great interest to you.

For my 100th post, I present to you Luis Philippe "Lucky" Manzano. Why Luis? Why is he that special that I've chosen him as my 100th post??

Well, I find Luis special 'coz I feel like I grow up with him.

Since I was a kid, I've been hooked up watching television. And at a very young age, I had already seen Lucky on television and I've known him as the precious son of Philippines' top celebrities Vilma Santos and Edu Manzano.

Same goes with the Mega daughter Ma. Kristina Cassandra "KC" Concepcion, I feel that Luis, KC and I, grow up together. It's ambitious to say that, honestly.

Luis is 24, KC is 21 and I'm 23 years old. I can say I really grew up with them. I grew up watching television and Luis grew up on my very own eyes.

When he was young, I saw him on TV wearing eyeglasses, looking nerd and shy, with less exposure, until I saw him modelling, staging his skills and showcasing his great masculine physique.

As he grows, his success grows the same way for him. He had been hosting Myx and ASAP. Luis also hosted Star Circle Quest, Qpids, Fanatics, Pinoy Big Brother and ventured into acting via Kampanerang Kuba, Bora, Crazy 4 U, All About Luv and soon on Ang Cute ng Ina Mo.
Luis is no longer the "Lucky" that I knew. He has grown up, and has achieved big things on his own. But he's luckier than ever. Having supportive and ideal parents, bright career and a glowing youthfulness, what more could he wish for?

I wish he could finally find the girl he has been looking for, will it be Anne Curtis? or Toni Gonzaga? Or the newest, Angelica Panganiban? Whoever she will be, she's gonna be the luckiest to have Luis.

Luis, like his parents, manages to stay that big. I know, the title of this post sounds like a naughty one. Yes, he already admitted on a tabloid that he was cursed to have a big "thing," and according to him, it's evident while he's on his costume as Juris in the upcoming tele-epiko Rounin on ABS-CBN.

But that's not the only big for Luis. He is also known to have a big heart and a great personality. In fact, he's one of the very few celebrities who have beautiful personalities. He has great sensitivity that he will not think twice in reaching out to others, share his blessings and offer a shoulder to ease the burden of others.

With that, Luis will continue to grow with me, and will always be an inspiration to me. I'll keep on wishing that I'd be as "lucky" and as "big" as he is, on my own right.

Sunday's Hot Stuffs

What's up this Sunday?

Ahmm Sunday is the only day of the week when I could wake up late. Probably by 10 am, i'd be awake then, prepare myself for a meeting with the whole workforce of our company. Imagine, it's like 1/3 of the 300 Spartans are around you during the meeting, well I really have no choice but to attend.

I hope I could attend mass after two weeks of absence. I really should. I'd been very busy the past few weeks that I failed to fulfill my Sunday obligation.

Then, I have to go to the mall to have my haircut and buy some necessary things. I want to watch a movie, but I have to hurry back home afterwards for Starstruck's Final Judgement.

Speaking of Starstruck, I'd like to see Mart Escudero winning as Ultimate Hunk and Jewel Mische as Ultimate Sweetheart. As for the Ultimate Loveteam, Aljur Abrenica and Kris Bernal is the perfect choice.

I'm not very much aware of the disqualification issue of Mart Escudero which caused demerits for his final score. If he won't win today, that would be the reason behind.

Later tonight, Pinoy Big Brother will have its First Eviction Night. My fave, Kian Kazemi, will be saved for sure from being evicted. Thus, it's a fight among the three girls, Gee-Ann, Bea and Jasmin. I'm not sure of Bea. She's my kababayan from Bicol, but Bicolanos do not have that much regionalism.

They're PBB Fanatics but they are not as supportive as the Davaoeños, where Jasmin comes from. I wish it would be proved wrong this time.

Chx Alcala of Pinoy Big Brother Season 1 was also from Bicol, but she failed to get the support of the Bicolanos, thus evicted right away. But many PBB followers including me like Jasmin to go.

Before I sleep, I'd make sure that I watch Christian Bautista and Rachel Ann Go's special on ABS-CBN.

It's definitely a busy Sunday again (busy watching TV, haha).
