"Iñigo Pascual's duet with Papa P", "Celebrity Weddings", "Binibining Pilipinas" are 'hottest items' in January 2011

The duet of Iñigo Pascual and his Papa (Piolo Pascual), the candidates of Bb. Pilipinas 2011, Willie Revillame's latest outburst and big-time celebrity weddings were among the "hottest items" on Mykiru Isyusero in January 2011.

Those hottest items were the 20 most viewed posts on this blog last month.

The Top 20 is actually full of posts about weddings, 9 of which are about the 2 weddings held in January (Kristine-Oyo, Roxanne-Elton nuptials) and even the 2 weddings that happened last December (Maggie-Victor, Ogie-Regine nuptials).

But those are expected.

I am more amazed with the duet of Papa P and his son Iñigo Pascual. Their 2-minute duet during Piolo's birthday celebration on ASAP Rocks last Jan. 9 drew so much attention to become one of the hottest items last month, ranking 13th just behind those usual "hits".

It was actually Iñigo's first ever TV appearance (and also his first performance on TV).

Last July, the Twitter issue between "Inigo" (allegedly a poser) and Piolo's now girlfriend KC Concepcion was also among the most popular topics for that month ranking 2nd and even continued as among the hottest in August.

And for the over-all Top 50 posts for 2010, the said Twitter controversy ranked 17th.

It's a proof that many people are really interested with Piolo's son.

Other hot items in January was the Daniel Matsunaga elevator video, Jasmine Curtis meeting Mark Salling in Boracay and the TV Patrol's footage of Boracay tourists doing a "thing" in the island.

Iñigo Pascual sings duet with his Papa Piolo on "ASAP Rocks" (Video)

Iñigo Pascual surprised his Papa, actor-singer Piolo Pascual, during the latter's birthday celebration on ASAP Rocks today.

Piolo was singing the Beatles song "I Want To Hold Your Hand" when eventually his son Iñigo showed up on video also singing the same song.

The hunk actor was visibly surprised and he cried while watching his son Iñigo on video singing for him.

Then the father and son sang together at the end part of the song.

It was a taped video but a very touching one to see them sing together.

Iñigo also gave a short message to Piolo after the song number. "I love you Papa. Happy Birthday!"

Piolo later said after the number, "Hindi ko ini-expect na one of these days, in my life, makaka-duet ko anak ko kahit man lang sa video. Maraming maraming salamat po ABS-CBN."

It marked Iñigo's first ever appearance on national TV.

We've seen him many times in pictures, but it was the first time we saw him really moving, singing and speaking on TV.

Such a cutie. Who agrees with me?

Now 13 years old, Iñigo is growing into a gorgeous man just like his Papa.

Piolo, who doesn't look like he already has a teenager son, turns 34 this Wednesday, January 12.

"Iñigo Pascual vs KC Concepcion" Twitter Issue | Piolo Pascual defends son

The Buzz host KC Concepcion was a "Kris Aquino" for a moment when she cried in the show with regards to the issue involving her and Iñigo,
son of her rumored boyfriend Piolo Pascual.

It's already an old issue, traced back probably in May or early days of June and I was surprised that it got so big, because it was an issue supposedly not to be taken seriously.

The issue is: 13-year-old Iñigo allegedly hates KC who's dating his
dad. And he allegedly used Twitter, Facebook and Youtube to tell the world about her.

Iñigo allegedly used the username "inigo1416" both on Youtube and Twitter, and upon checking today, both are deleted already.

But on KC's thread at PEX, her fans posted there the alleged tweets. Here's one:

"I hate KC Concepcion for my father...ask Piolo how much I hate KC. She ruined my vacation and our dad and son relationship. I hate her and never I will..."

Do you think a 13-year-old boy is capable of saying that and post it on Twitter? Yes if he's the girly bitchy brat type of boy.

That's why, I don't want to believe it coming from Iñigo.

The issue has already reached KC's mom Sharon Cuneta and in an interview, she defended KC against any allegations.

On The Buzz today, Piolo finally faced the issue by sending a written statement to the show and apologized to KC and to her family.

He defended his son by denying that Iñigo has a Twitter account and revealed that Iñigo's FB got hacked.

Piolo also warned those who are using his son that he will seek legal counsel if they continue doing it.

KC later aired her side on the issue and she cried, admittedly hurt
over the Twitter thing. But she's positive that Iñigo is also not
capable of saying those things because according to her, she already met Iñigo and he was nice to her.

And assuming it's true that Iñigo indeed doesn't like her for his dad, KC said that she would understand because she also experienced the same thing when her Papa Gabby and mom parted ways before.

Piolo actually made a fault there. He only gave a statement just today when the issue is two-month old already and some people have already concluded that Iñigo really hates KC.
