Here are the pictures of Sergio Mazza, the German-Italian Shangri-la manager who was killed in Makati City, Philippines this morning:
Sergio Mazza was 38 years old, single and originally from Berlin, Germany. He was the Executive Assistant Manager and Food & Beverage Director of Shangri-la Makati.
Initial reports say that Mr. Sergio was shot dead at past 7am today somewhere in Legaspi, Village, Makati City. There was no sign of robbery. And no suspect yet.
This is kinda scary, because just like any other office workers walking in the area, Mazza was going to work when the incident happened.
It happened on a busy time at a busy place in a city considered to be among the most progressive cities in the country.
Remember what Vice President-elect Jojo Binay said in his campaign: "Ganito kami sa Makati, etc"? What happened there in Makati now tells us that there's really no such thing as safe place and anything could happen even in a premiere city like Makati.
For sure, VP Binay and his son JunJun, who's now the Mayor in Makati, will do the necessary action on this one.
***
TV host / actress Ruffa Gutierrez knew Sergio personally and on Twitter, she recalls how Mazza was as a Shangri-la director: "Sergio always made sure time spent @ Shangri-La Makati, Cebu & Boracay was always enjoyable. He gave friends excellent deals."Source URL: https://mykiru1.blogspot.com/2010/06/shangri-la-manager-sergio-mazza.html
