Today's hottest rock artists will be honored once more in the 16th Rock Awards by NU 107 happening next Friday, October 30, 2009.
It will be held at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
Gates will open by 5:00 PM, four hours before the awarding ceremonies which starts at 9.
Leading this year's nominees is the rock band Hilera with 9 nominations, followed Up Dharma Down with 8, Kjwan 7 and Kamikazee with 6 nods.
Among the new breed of artists, Peryodiko is the clear leader with 6 entries in different categories.
Last year's big winners such as Pupil and Sandwich are visibly missing in dominace this year.
Pupil got only 1 nomination for its "Teacher's Pet" as Song of the Year.
Solo artist Rico Blanco, who won last year as Vocalist of the Year, has earned a nomination this year for his hit "Antukin" also in the Song of the Year category.
