Philippines' action superstar Rudy 'Daboy' Fernandez, who turned 56 last March, has died just this morning, June 07, 2008, after over two years of suffering from periampullary cancer.It's indeed a sad news especially that Daboy was one of the most loved showbiz personalities in the Philippines.
Daboy's memorable films include Isang Bala Ka Lang, Idol, Pasukuin si Waway, Anak ng Tondo, Bingbong, Markang Bungo, Lagalag, Birador, Ping Lacson Story, Diskarte and Kung Kailangan Mo Ako.
Also an award-winning actor, Rudy had his last Best Actor award for the movie Diskarte during the 2002 Manila Film Festival.
Just last April, PMPC Star Awards has recognized him as its Ulirang Artista Awardee but the award has yet to be handed out this June.
