Pinoy fans excited for Bi Rain's arrival in Manila | Who wants free tickets to his concert?

Kpop artist and Hollywood star Bi Rain is scheduled to arrive tomorrow, September 4, in Manila.

    Rain Live in Manila

That's exactly one week before Rain's "Intensity" concert happening at
the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds.

The concert's media partner TV5 knows the exact time of Rain's arrival
in Manila but they're keeping it a secret so as not to be flocked with many fans who are waiting for his arrival.

The Intensity concert will also feature Kpop group U-Kiss and have
Pinoy pride Christian Bautista as special guest. U-Kiss is arriving on September 10.

Rain is arriving earlier than U-Kiss because reportedly, he'll be shooting some scenes in the Philippines for his Korean drama
"Fugitive" which will premiere on September 29.

Prior to the Philippines, Rain already taped for "Fugitive" in Korea, Japan, Thailand and Hong Kong.

"Fugitive" also stars Daniel Henney of "Spring Waltz" and marks Rain's
comeback in Korean drama after 5 years and after concentrating in
    Hollywood.

There are unconfirmed reports that Rain will also shoot a mini-series
for TV5. Paparazzi's Ruffa Gutierrez is confirmed though to have a one-on-one
    interview with Rain.

Rain is definitely coming to Manila and maybe, that explains why rains keep pouring now in Manila. What do you think?

If you want free tickets for the concert, Odyssey Live will be giving 1 pair of VIP tickets and 2 pairs of Gold Tickets.

Just go to their SITE and answer the question: "Why do you want to go to Intensity featuring Rain and U-Kiss concert?". Then ask your friends to vote for your answer by clicking the "thumbs up" button. The one with the most "thumbs up"
will win 2 VIP tickets while two more persons will win each a pair of Gold tickets as consolation prize.

Their promo ends on September 9.

The "Ninja Assassin" star will be joined by another K-Pop artist, the group U-Kiss who will be performing in the Philippines for the 3rd time already. They were here just last March and June.

Adding excitement to the "Intensity" concert is the inclusion of the
Philippines' very own Christian Bautista, also a very popular singer
in Indonesia, as the special guest in the concert.

According to Christian's manager Carlo Orosa, Rain's Intensity concert in Manila is extra special because it will be Rain's last concert before he submits himself to the Korean Military Service.

Rain will enter the military on September 28 and render 2-year service as a mandatory requirement for all male citizens in Korea.

    Rain Live in Manil Concert

The "Intensity" concert tickets are priced P500, P1,500, P3,000 and P4,500 plus 3% service charge.

Kim Hyun Joong Live in Manila Concert tonight at the Araneta Coliseum

K-Pop fans in the Philippines couldn't get over yet with the U-Kiss concert last Monday, but there's already another treat for them tonight, June 19, 2010: the Kim Hyun Joong and Beast Live in Manila
    concert.

The concert is dubbed "K-Pop meets P-Pop" and will be staged at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines.

Beast is a newly-formed Korean group (with 6 members), that's why
Filipino fans are more familiar with Korean heartthrob and style icon Kim Hyun Joong, the SS501 leader and played Yoon Ji Hoo in the "Boys Over Flowers",
the Korean version of Meteor Garden and was shown in the Philippines via ABS-CBN.

Interestingly, the media partner of the concert (aside from MYX) is GMA 7, and not ABS-CBN 2. Yesterday, they guested on Eat Bulaga! and were interviewed on 24 Oras, both on GMA.

A lot of K-Pop fans reacted on how the hosts of Eat Bulaga kept calling Kim Hyun Joong as Kim, when in fact it's his surname and its more appropriate to call him as Hyun Joong. Kim is a popular surname in Korea and there are many boyband members with that last name.

Super Junior alone has 5: Kim Hee-chul, Kim Young-woon, Kim Ryeo-wook, Kim Jong-woon and Kim Kibum. U-Kiss has Kim Ki Bum and Kim Kyoung Jae
while SS501 has Kim Hyung Jun, Kim Kyu Jong and Kim Hyun Joong.

Even So Yi Jung of BOF, who came to the Philippines before to shoot a TVC with actress Maja Salvador, is named Kim Sang Bum.

Ever wondered why the title of the concert has P-Pop? It's because Pinoy pop group are guest performers: XLR8 and Pop Girls, who look
like clones of some K-pop groups. And I'm afraid that some Koreans might accuse the Pinoys of copying or imitating their groups when they
see XLR8 and Pop Girls perform in the concert. I hope not.

U-Kiss on Showbiz Central: Filipina fan gets kisses from U-Kiss members

    U-Kiss Showbiz Central

One lucky Filipina fan made other K-Pop fans envious when she got kissed and hugged by ALL U-Kiss members on GMA 7's Showbiz Central today.

As you can see, she even pointed her mouth, probably hoping she'd be kissed on her lips. How lucky!

And just because of that fan getting a kiss from U-Kiss, it made the group trending on Twitter as well "Showbiz Central" which is very rare for a GMA 7 program.

U-Kiss guested in the show to promote their June 14 Live in Manila concert at the Araneta Coliseum.

A lot of K-Pop fans have noticed the mistake made by Showbiz Central in the show. In their VTR, instead of U-Kiss' 19-year-old member Kim Ki Bum aka Marumir or Kibum, they showed 22-year-old Kim Ki-bum of Super Junior, who's also nicknamed as Kibum.

Before that Showbiz Central guesting, they also appeared on Party Pilipinas, the show which had U-Kiss on its launch last March.

And I must admit, they're really cute!

Watch a Youtube video of how the Pinay fan got a once-in-a-lifetime K-Pop kisses (uploaded by eytcetera):

Meanwhile, Showbiz Central's rival show "The Buzz" also took pride for having newly-evicted PBB housemate Tricia Santos in their episode today and as expected, Tricia was on Twitter's trending topics again for the nth time.

U-Kiss Manila Concert postponed

The U-Kiss 1st Kiss concert in Manila, Philippines has been postponed to a new schedule yet to be announced.

The said concert, which was supposed to be held this Saturday, May 24, 2010 at the Araneta Coliseum, has been moved this June but no exact date yet. It's also unsure if it's still in Araneta or at a new venue.

The announcement was made just today, supported by a letter by the concert organizer addressed to MYX Philippines, the media partner. (See attached letter above, courtesy of MYX)

And it's totally a sad news for the group's fans here.
I've heard some have been practicing their fan chants already while others, those from the provinces, have already booked for a hotel reservation in Manila.

Even U-Kiss members themselves had been rehearsing hard for it already.

Now, there are rumors that the concert has been moved due to low ticket sales. I don't want to believe it. Let's think positive! But we can't blame people to conclude that because the announcement by the organizer cites no reason why.

May 29 could have been the best time to hold the concert while students aren't back to school yet. But despite it all, let's all just hope for the best on their new schedule.

U-Kiss will be the 2nd K-pop group to hold a concert here after Super Junior last month. They already came here in the Philippines last March when they graced the launch of Party Pilipinas.

On MYX Hit Chart, U-Kiss' single Binguel, Binguel is currently in #4 on its 10th week.
