Miss Asia USA 2009 is Geramie Dizon from the Philippines

After April Love Jordan won a beauty title in China last month, another Pinay snatched an international crown last June 13 at the Alex Theatre in Glendale, California.

Representing Philippines, Geramie Dizon, 19, won the title of Miss Asia USA 2009

Geramie or Mai is a freelance model in the US who was 1st Runner Up in BodyShots-USA 2006.

She becomes the 7th Miss Asia USA titleholder from the Philippines. The other Pinay Miss Asia USA were Gemma Hipolito (1992), Cheryl Nunes (1995), Jamie Santiago (1996), Karen Borja (1998), Angelina Macaulay (2000) and Feilani Bennett (2001).


First Runner Up in the Miss Asia USA 2009 pageant was Miss Mongolia Saruul Ganbaatar while Second Runner Up was Miss Taiwan Christina Wen.

A total of 19 candidates from 13 Asian countries participated in the 21st edition of Miss Asia USA.

The Miss Asia USA is a beauty pageant for Asian women in the US, who are atleast 25% Asian or Middle Eastern.
